"Easy to Follow"
This book is easy to follow, and different from other books on Procrastination. I am writing my dissertation on the topic (and I also suffer from it), and though Dr. Fiore is not often cited by other researchers, I find the information to be practical, and helpful. Being a chronic procrastinator, I am looking for anything to help. I especially like the "Unschedule". I never realized how little time I actually have to do things. I always thought - I can do that tomorrow - when in reality I need to do a little each day. Thank you Dr. Fiore!
"Didn't hold my attention"
Well written, but it didn't hold my attention like I thought it would. The supernatural parts were not scary, but I think they were supposed to be. They were actually kind of funny, which is too bad. This book had a lot more potential. But I'm glad I listened - as I said, it was well written.
"Good read even for adults"
Neil Gaiman has never disappointed me. This book was almost as good as Neverwhere. Neverwhere was more exciting because the story was not set in just one place. And it was longer - so you get more of him! I think I will try some of his other books now. Neil Gaiman is also a fantastic narrator. He helps make the experience. You just fall into the stories and it's hard to come back to reality.
"A bit much for audio"
There was a little too much going on to follow in audio format for me. Maybe a relisten will fill in some of the blanks. I'm also not a history buff, so it wasn't quite my taste. But Sarah Vowell is funny, no doubt about it.
"Pretty good - great Christmas read"
Not as good as A Dirty Job, but way better than Lamb. This book is funny and out there, but puts you in the holiday spirit.
"Excellent!"
This is a great story from beginning to end. Highly recommended.
"Ok"
Compared to the previous Odd books, this one isn't nearly as good. But it is a fine read. Dean Koontz is a good writer and manages to tell a good tale.
"Engaging"
I was sad when the story ended. I wanted to know more about the man and his every day life. The writing is superb and the narrator fit the role.
"Pass"
If I were more familiar with the Bible, this book may have been more interesting. Not being familiar, it was dull. I do recommend A Dirty Job by Christopher Moore and plan to listen to his other books.
"Incredible!"
Though the story isn't entirely new, bits and pieces have been used before, the presentation was definitely unique. The depth and detail added so much fun. Fisher Stevens, though he started out at a frantic pace, found his rhythm, and I couldn't imagine anyone else reading this story. I will read more by this author.
"Great!"
This was my first book by Nevada Barr. I really enjoyed her colorful writing, and suspense. I also really appreciated the strong heroine. The reader was also excellent. I would definitely listen to more by Ms. Barr.
