I've honestly never written such a downer review but this was just not a great listen whatsoever. It absolutely did not hold my interest; I couldn't even finish the audiobook. The reader was all right but I just think the content was seriously lacking. I truly don't like writing this review as I consider myself a writer and appreciate the sensitivity writers have about their work...but this just wasn't up to par for my standards. Very disappointed.

This book begins one way & ends another...and it will draw you in & captivate you almost as no other. It's amazingly easy to listen to; the words flow so well & Ms. Davis' smooth voice is the perfect choice to narrate this incredible story.

This fascinating book isn't only entertaining from the standpoint of learning about the HeLa cells & Henrietta's story, but her daughter Deborah Lacks' struggle is so well-told, too. Ms. Skloot's research on this book (a decade in the making) is absolutely unbelievable and is so well explained even on the simplest level. Everyone can enjoy & learn so much from this book. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in not only a hugely important part of medical history, but a look into the lives of a very endearing family.

This book is absolutely amazing! It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time & had me sympathizing with the main character (due to the excellent in-depth character development) throughout the audiobook. Ms. Jackson's naration is beyond superb; she isn't just a fabulous writer, she's a marvelous voice over artist! This is one of my favorite three books/audiobooks of-all time. I simply can't recommend it enough! Get it for yourself AND gift it to all your friends!

This audiobook absolutely hooked me in & kept me interested all the way through. The twists & turns were completely unanticipated and so well done for a first time author! I would have thought she'd written many, many suspenseful books after reading this one. The delivery was also very creative, being told in therapy sessions...very nice. The narrator was excellent, too. I just can't say enough about this book-it stayed with me for days!

This audiobook was so engaging; I simply could not stop listening to it! The readers really made me feel as if I were there in the "room" with them (for that part of the book). It was just amazing. It did stay with me for days after reading it & it made me see the world a bit differently. I'd highly recommend this audiobook to anyone interested. Magnificent!

Wow - what an inspirational, informative & insightful book! This book will leave you wanting more from Tony Hsieh, CEO of Zappos, who gives a brief description of his very funny & clever childhood all the way to where he is now: running an outstanding company that is more difficult to get into than Harvard. But this book is packed with more than just the details of Tony's life (although he's a fascinating person & you will want to know more once you've read it.) It's all about how to conduct great business & delivering top shelf customer service - that which can separate one company from all the rest. Read this book & go back to work wanting to deliver better Cust Svc internally & externally. You may even find yourself just treating others around you better in general - YES, it's THAT good!
