Selected from sermons delivered by C. S. Lewis during World War II, these nine addresses show the beloved author and theologian bringing hope and courage in a time of great doubt. "The Weight of Glory", considered by many to be Lewis’s finest sermon of all, is an incomparable explication of virtue, goodness, desire, and glory.

This is a collection of messages by a master story teller. Even when Britian was in the throughts of war Lewis puts things into perspective. There is some commentatry between Lewis's messages puting into context the man and the time he was speaking, though it all is as current today, as when he spoke the words for the first time. The only thing that would make me like it more, was if there were surviving original recordings.
