most of my friends ask "Why would you read a book with a title like that."
To me it was like visiting a local diner that I pass regularly and just had to see what it was like.
The book is really a wonderful blend of history and fiction. I think it is very true to the moral character of one of our finest presidents, as the author even had a 1800's era historian on staff during his writing. The author also takes...a lighthearted approach to telling a vampire tale that spans a persons lifetime. In writing this dime store novel he was deliberately looking to blend two popular subjects Abraham Lincoln, and the pop culture vampire genre to have fun. The afterward of the book inlcudes an interview with the author where he explains the writing of the book, and in some ways is as enjoyable as the fictional prose.
I hope the upcoming movie is done in a very playful "Van Helsing" cinematographic way.See More"
