Set against a vivid backdrop, The Last Summer (of You and Me) is the enchanting story of a beach-community friendship triangle among three young adults for whom summer and this place have meant everything. Sisters Riley and Alice, now in their 20s, have been returning to their parents' modest beach house every summer for their entire lives.

This is a sweet story that will grab your heart if you've ever lost a loved one, been in love or been loved. I openly cried in parts of this book. There is a lot of detail and in the beginning it seems to be too mch, but by the end, it is so appreciated. I love the narrator, she has the heart and soul to deliver this very powerful book as I believe the author meant for it to be delivered.

A summer at his grandparents' South Dakota ranch is not 11-year-old Cooper Sullivan's idea of a good time. But things are a bit more bearable now that he's discovered the neighbor girl, Lil Chance, and her homemade batting cage. Even horseback riding isn't as awful as Coop thought it would be. Each year, with Coop's annual summer visit, their friendship deepens from innocent games to stolen kisses, but there is one shared experience that will forever haunt them: the terrifying discovery of a hiker's body.

A suspenseful book set in the Black Hills...predictable but the setting of a wild life refuge makes it interesting and even a little educational. Worth the read even though it is a little long. I'd recommend the abridged version.

Rachel Gibson's spunky New York Times best-selling romances are confectionary treats for listeners. Curvaceous Adele Harris is prepared to give up dating forever. But when she travels home to console her sister, whose marriage is on the rocks, she runs into ex-flame Zach Zemaitis - and passions are reignited.

    "FINALLY Rachel Gibson on Audible!!!"
    Overall

I love Rachel Gibson books and was thrilled to finally find a couple on Audible. This book is everything I enjoy in chick lit: funny, smart, good character development and not overly cheesey (just enough to keep it light).

There is a little more to this book than just boy meets girl (again) but also how life goes on after first loves fail. As soon as the book ended, I wanted to start it over and listen again! Great reader too!!!

Georgie York, once the costar of America's favorite television sitcom, has been publicly abandoned by her famous husband, her film career has tanked, her father is driving her crazy, and her public image as a spunky heroine is taking a serious beating. What should a down-on-her-luck actress do?

    Overall

I am a huge SEP fan and looked forward to this book from the time I knew it was forthcoming and it definately does not disappoint. Great character development and a few twists and turns along the way so you hope you know the outcome but there are some surprises. Nice to revisit some old SEP characters too - April Robillard Patriot & Jack Patriot!! I love all SEP books and dare I say...this might be my favorite....

Lisa Edwards, top London magazine editor, has been fantasizing about promotion to New York. Instead, she's asked to launch a new women's magazine in Dublin. She thinks nothing could be worse - until she meets her new staff. They're friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic - in other words, they wouldn't last two minutes in London!

    Overall

I am a huge fane of Sophie Kinsella/Marian Keyes/Madeline Wickham and this just didn't do it for me. Out of the 18 hours of audio, I think only 4 or 5 were enjoyable. At the end it came together and there were some moments of humor and memorable quotes, but this was really disappointing. I gave it three stars because of the last few hours that were what I am accustome to with this author. Skip this and listen to Remember me or any Susan Elizabeth Phillips or Susn Mallery book.

Fleur Savagar is the most beautiful woman in the world . . . to everyone but herself. With her oversized hands and paddle-boat feet, her streaky blond hair and funny green eyes, she lives a life filled with secrets that began before she was born. That was when her bewitching mother left home to find James Dean and met Errol Flynn instead. Now Fleur has to grow up quickly, and life won't make that easy.

This is an old book that SEP updated and re-released. It is easy to "read", funny at times, sad, sexy and traditional SEP - a great read. Unlike other authors that I've read that have rereleased older books, SEP does this one in a way that makes it seem like she wrote it recently (though I liked the old version too). If you like SEP, you can't go wrong.

PS Good choice for the narrator. I was curious who could possibly narrate after the fabulous Kate Fleming / Anna Fields. Julia Gibson does a nice job. I've enjoyed her work with Catherine Anderson as well.

I really enjoyed this book. A moving story of how a Mom and her two daughters deal with their own personal issues as well as a family crisis. All three face what measures success and how other people's opinions truly shape our lives. This book makes one think about what is and isn't important in their life and the things we thought were, might not really be. Real life gone wrong and somehow made right again in a surprising way. You won't be disappointed!

In Separate Beds, two attractive, headstrong people meet - and fireworks ensue.

Catherine Anderson and Clay Forrester come from two completely different worlds, but one blind date leaves them forever linked. Clay, a handsome law student, and Catherine, a serious, bookish undergrad, experience an evening they will never forget. Fortified by the beauty of the night, as well as a bottle of wine, they share a night together. A few short months later, Catherine discovers she's pregnant.

I think this was written in the 70's and it shows. A home for unwed mothers and unable to take the Bar exam due to an illegitimate child?? Had it's own charm in a round about way. I kept thinking of the movies from the 60's and 70's with all the cheese. Not the worst book I've ever read, but no upside until the very end. The end could have been the middle of the book and made a bunch of good stuff at the end.

I love these characters in this book. Worlds apart and so different but you can relate to all of them. This book is written so that you feel you really know these characters and know exactly what all of their surroundings look like without being too bogged down in too much detail. This book could have gone on another few hours and I would have gladly kept listening. Very funny!

This is one of the sweetest books I've ever read. The characters are really deep and troubled and you can't wait to get to the end of the book to see how it all works itself out. Funny, witty, sexy, sarcastic and sweet.

If you like the SEP books, this is a winner. If you've never read one, this will hook you.
