As a classic, there is no doubt one should consider reading this book. I love finding out where terms and/or characters originate from and this book includes several. Ever been to Long John Silver's? Just happens to be the antagonist who played the role of the ship's cook.

The question is whether or not this is the version to download. I agree with other reviews - the narrator did a fantastic job - so go ahead and purchase with confidence.

If you like maps, geocaching, National Geographic GeoBee, history, etc then you will enjoy this book. It covers a variety of topics in depth while pacing itself well. The author includes personal stories, love of topic, and experiences researching for the book.

Narrator did well and I enjoyed the book.

I ask that Audible start including pdf's of the pictures included within printed version of books. This would have increased the enjoyment of this book given the topic. I think this is a good book for audible with pictures of the maps really adding to it.

Must read for anyone wishing to really understand a major caused the financial crash. Interesting background on the players within along with a disappointing reality surrounding the rating agencies involved.

See this review - I thought the same thing... enjoyed the book and got pulled in but the last hour was weak and disappointing. Smart people all of a sudden get dumb and in way that did not fit the characters.

For a "biography" about an element - this was a very good book. Its pace was consistent and covered numerous aspect of its history. Given uranium's impact on society, more people should understand its history and what it really is...

Patrick Lawlor did a great job of reading/performing.

I was surprised it did not cover more about the its first use in WWII but this has probably been covered by other authors many times over.

Really enjoyed this book - multiple plots and character development occurring at the same time without any confusion that some times comes with this. Murder mystery that was fun to try and figure out as you read.

Very timely plot given today's financial intrigue. Loved that it was set in Sweden for something different. The book is not for the squeamish given portions are fairly graphic.

A must for all Mitch Rapp fans! One of those books you don't want to stop listening to. If you have not read to any Flynn books - go a few back and start there - knowing you'll have several great listens to come.

While in the end I enjoyed this book, two-thirds the way thru I was so frustrated with it that I wished I could done with it. I continued on and did enjoy most of the end.

I have two main issues with the book, first that all of the good and enjoyable characters keep being killed off. Long the way bad things keep happening to them. I am not looking for utopia but after awhile it was like "come on." This reminds me a lot of George R. R. Martin books.

The second item was lapses in logic. [note plot details to follow] As an example, the author introduces the market concept wherein Aliena pays the priory today for wool to be delivered next year. This is ok until the town is sacked and Aliena loses "everything" and becomes dirt poor. Except what about the hundred pounds of wool to be delivered in the fall? I found this frustrating.

All baseball fans owe it to themselves to read about one of the truly great pitchers. The book also gives an appreciation for the man and the times he pitched during.

I found the book entertaining and loved gaining a better understanding of baseball during the teens through thirties... they were very different times. It was also interesting to read about baseball in the nation's capital at the time.

In the end, this was a well done, well read book about one of the greatest baseball players in history... to appreciate baseball one needs to understand it history and this books ensures that and more.

The answer to the question in the title is... yes!

If you love Apple, engineering, technology, history, or a wonderful story - you will love this book. It offers great insight into how the Apple I and II came about - including all the inventions, designs, and experiences that lead up to these moments.

I enjoyed the book immensely and is a must for anyone who owned an Apple II and/or grew up during the early days of personal computers. It really brought back some memories.

Woz should be looked at as one of the top inventor / engineers of the 20th century. He truly was brilliant when it came to implementing elegant designs. Hats off to a man who appears to have lived his life his way!

This is a very entertaining book and found it well paced. Actually had a couple of parts that had me laughing or at least grinning. The couple of slow pieces are understandable given it is a true story.

If you ever remember having problems with OS7/8 ? the book contains the answer? not surprising who?s product caused the issue (even when it was not running).
