"Excellent story and narration"
I guess I didn't realize this was book 4 in a series - I never read (or listened to) the first 3 books, but I didn't feel I missed anything either. The story was excellent and Sean Barrett did a superb job with the narration. I will look for other books by both this author and reader.
"Three in one"
This was an interesting story - or should I say three stories. In the first half of the book I kept getting confused with the characters because it kept going from one time span to another between the early 1900s to early 2000s. When I finally got it figured out I wanted to start all over and perhaps one day I will but I simply have too many other books to read.
"Excellent book"
I really enjoyed this book - it was pretty family friendly reading (listening) - but I would have preferred not having to hear the f word as often as I did. I learned a lot about Asperger's disease and it gave me a new appreciation for parents of special needs children, and of the children themselves. The characters were well read and the story was great. I could listen to a sequel - it'd be interesting to see Emma and Oliver develop their relationship, and for Henry to be a part of his kids' lives on a regular basis, as well as see how the boys turn out in say, 10 years. Would Jacob still be living at home?
"The bible truly does come alive"
The readings and the background music / sound effects give the added pleasure of feeling like you were there. I love listening to the bible and some of these narrators are extremely gifted.
"Excellent all the way around"
This book was great from start to finish. The narrators were superb and made the story so real. The book was about 13 hours in length and each time I had to stop listening, I couldn't wait to find time to get back to "reading" it.
"I loved this book"
It's especially nice to hear the author telling the story, it's more like a conversation. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to Sarah Palin and find her a fascinating, honest and REAL person with real issues and problems, but with a faith she relies on.
