How to take one sentence and turn it into a amazing work of fiction. My three words would be: Wow. Wow. Wow.
Perhaps Darth Plagueis by James Luceno, as it shows the back story and how things developed the way that they did. However, since fans did not have a lots of information on Bane, it was interesting to watch it develop organically, rather than be shoehorned into the existing canon, although I great enjoyed Plageuis. It's hard to say which one was superior.
The giving of a lightsaber to Bane and his battle with his old battlemaster.
You know the rule, now meet the man.
The story and the characters. I loved reading all three books and the audio version did not disappoint.
I loved how it was unabridged, so you didn't lose a minute of the action.
I've always enjoyed his performances on Star Wars titles. My only fault was there was one or two moment for about 5 minutes apiece where there was a reverb effect where none was needed. It made everything sound like a interior monologue when it was obviously not.
