Yes. I would recommend this audiobook to anyone who is interested in being an effective leader and making a difference for their company. I think it also helps to focus insight into lots of the past major breakthroughs and what caused their success.
I have nearly finished my second listen and gotten as much, perhaps more from the second time through as I did the first. Well worth the investment of time to spend with this book.
I would recommend this book to anyone interested in a more indepth presentation of the history of Lincoln's time and the context of that time. I finished "Team of Rivals" prior to this book and found the greater extent of "Lincoln" to round out my understanding of the historical context for what caused the actions to play out as they did.
I think it is very complementary to "Team of Rivals" and the book I am reading now "Battle Cry of Freedom". I think "Team of Rivals" was more of "story" whereas "Lincoln" offers a more comprehensive insight beyond the personalities of the Administration.
There were times where the quality of the recording demonstrated post editing.
I don't think you could make this much of a detailed presentation into a film...it would require a historic documentary and might miss the strength of the work.
I enjoyed the book very much and appreciated the way in which the book was developed to provide the details it offered.
Those who seek big government socialism are fooling themselves and those who they wish to take with them to these ends, It doesn't work, can't work and still here we go in an attempt to get there!
How straight forward the truth is and how solid the facts are that socialism fails and why our current President's agenda is so devoid of legitimacy.
My reaction was one of frustration over why our country's voters can't understand that our President's agenda to force us into socialism is so wrong and yet over half voted for more of the same...
Good background work with lots of information presented in a very solid way
Just the volume of examples where President Obama has gone so far over the line
Enjoyable to listen to while doing my workouts...I wouldn't be able to read the same way as listening while working out
I have recommended it. For friends who have said that they were struggling with reading the book in hardcover, I suggested the audio version as an alternative to hear the message. It seems that sometimes the more complicated is easier to understand when you can listen and relisten and let your mind capture the thoughts in this manner.
I appreciated the way that the author referred to past examples of the classics to demonstrate the points of how the desire to achieve Utopia can only be accomplished through the total loss of individual freedom.
There were no scenes, but the way in which the author highlighted the background of the philosophies of those who influenced our founding fathers and why our founding documents are based on these philosophies. When you understand what is at stake and realize the direction we are going -- it becomes very clear on how important it is to take necessary actions to reverse our current course.
After your freedom is gone, you'll have learned the lessons of Ameritopia
