    Is there anything you would change about this book?

    This book could have more substance. I found parts dull and drifted off to other thoughts. It was not as riveting as some other autobiographies. Perhaps more detail on the rest of the family, Emilio's siblings and his mother would make it more interesting.

    This is the first book I have listened to by this author.


    Which scene was your favorite?

    I like the scenes when Martin Sheen describes his father. He does a great job of imitating his father's voice with the strong accent. You can empathize with the man and appreciate his efforts in raising his children on his own after becoming a widower.


    Was Along the Way: The Journey of a Father and Son worth the listening time?

    This book is worth listening to especially if you a fan of Martin Sheen and his roles in movies and plays. Although it did seem to slow at times.


    Any additional comments?

    Martin Sheen's son Emilio who is not as well known to me, sounds like his dad! He seems to be the special son who has not made the same mistakes as his father and brother Charlie.

    I enjoy Danielle Steel's novels as a diversion from hectic living and an easy read. Honor Thyself is minimally intriguing and even more predictable than her other novels. I was disappointed but listened to the entire book hoping the plot would thicken,but alas, it did not.

    This book was excellent as are this author's other books. Ann Rule weaves the tale in such a way that you can't stop reading or listening. There is a good mix of police investigation facts, court room drama, and best of all the delving into the personalities of the real life characters.
