Neil Gainman seems to be a favourite with us Aussies, and why not, I could listen to his voice forever and his marvellous mind always entertains with totally different stories. To have a tale set in a graveyard with an ophaned baby is basically weird! But in the hands of a master storyteller it keeps one enthralled until the end. Totally recommended.
Thank you so much Audible for this treat, I loved listening to it and will again. It is a pleasure to deal with such a lovely Company and I wish you all the very best for the holidays and have a wonderful 2013. I know I will as long as I can download the very best audio books from you. Cheers from Australia.
Thanks so much for this lovely surprise. My daughter is giving me the Audible subscription and it is the BEST ongoing present ever and you are a great business to deal with. So Happy Holidays and many WARM wishes from Australia to you all, and to everyone who reads this post. Thanks again.
I enjoyed the story and the description of a tough life on an isolated island, overdone in places but up until the end I was happy to go with it, but I hate unexpected cliff-hanger endings, on tv series-fine will wait until show returns, and if I know I am reading a book in series I will read them all, but this is not mentioned anywhere, not fair, so whatever happens I am not giving the author the satisfaction of selling me the sequel, don't care now, plenty of other great 'listens' to buy.
