Love the characters. Had to rename my cats, Filth, Pond Scum, Crazy Bastard and Turd. The narration is excellent as well. The story put me in mind of the audible versions of Joe Abercrombie's work. I am looking forward to the second book.
I did not care for this. I can see why some people might, but it is just not my cup of tea.
I loved it. Great to revisit old characters. Very good story line -just a whiff of predictability but enough plot twists to make it well worth the credit. Loved the narration.
This seemed to drag. The narrator changes her voice so the characters are a bit off for me.
This is a southern character and the voice suits. I thought the story was a hoot. I had passed this book by a couple of times based on the reviews. I listened to the sample and gave it a try. Glad I did.
Michael Page. Love him.
This story is more about a group of people telling a story about a story than it is anything else. I was never pulled in. I was unable to suspend reality and flow with the tale. It was like watching something instead of doing something.
If I listen to the other stories, it will be to hear Michael Page, not because I care about the story or characters.
I had been searching for a story. This is it. Love the narration! Love the pace. Great tale. Wish there were more.
He smells everything and she tastes everything and then there is a great deal about food. I lost interest before the second tape. True Blood meets the Joy of Cooking.
This book started out very well. I was interested. There are some interesting parts but I don't think I will listen to the others. too bad.
I read this book awhile back. I was looking forward to listening to it. However, the pace of the narration and the tone is distracting.
I had to quit listening because the narration was so difficult.
The pace was slow and draggy.
