"So glad there are 3 more books in this series!"
Hmmm...no. I like them both equally, but audio versions are great & easier to revisit prior to the next installment being released so you can refresh your memory.
I love Clary in this book because she is so brave and determined.
"A chance worth taking!"
Absolutely! It was nothing like I expected.
I loved that she was brave and eager to do teh right thing, even when the King 7 Queen turned their backs on her!
"TEARS AND BEAUTY!"
The story is so fresh and beautiful! It makes you feel as if you are getting to spend the summer at the beach house in Cousins!
The whole book is memorable, but its just the beginning for Belly....
Belly for sure
yes!
"Intense and riveting!"
Absolutely! It was so great! I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I loved it and gifted it to a friend because she HAD to hear it too!
I loved how Tris had this internal conflict going on at the same item that the world around her was in conflict she just had no idea. It was so much bigger than her and she didn't realize it, but she wasn't selfish about it, she adapted so she could help everyone. She wasn't even limited to just helping her family, she was brave and she saw the bigger picture.
I love being read to! Her character voices where awesome and clear and I loved how she portrayed Tris!
Gosh, I don't even know where I would start! But this book should ABSOLUTELY be a movie!
"I don't want this series to end!"
No, I think they're equal, but I always listen to the audiobook after I read the print version and I love picking up things I missed in my first read through.
I love when Clary calls Sebastian out on his crap! The final scenes with her and him are pretty entertaining!
Simon for sure, although I love how defiant Clary is and Magnus and Simon's interactions in this book are entertaining too!
"Other-worldly travel? Yes please!"
Probably in the top ten. I adore Cassie Clare & I can't get enough of her books. I can't believe it's almost over :(
I didn't really understand Simon enough in this book to adore him like I do now, but probably Sebastian because he was new and he piqued my interest and curiosity. Now I hate him, but he was definitely intriguing at first.
They were great and I loved the alternating narration!
"Great Series"
This is a great series & I read the books first so listening was like revisiting a favorite place
Finding out who Jace & Clary are to each other!
She was very easy to understand, however I prefer when they continue using the same narrator for the duration of a series. Cassie Clare's books have all been narrated by different people.
"Fabulous!"
The setting is magic on it's own, the time period is divine, just add shadowhunters and this book is perfection.
The setting and time period are so awesome & Cassandra Clare's WRITING is GORGEOUS and her research is impeccable.
The story really comes alive & I feel like I can never get enough. I'll be so sad when this series is over. He accents and character voices are wonderful and very distinguishable.
Definitely!
"Love this series!"
I always read Cassandra Clare's books first when they are released and then I listen to the audiobook immediately after. It helps me pick out things that I may have missed since I read them at a much quicker pace than they are narrated.
I love Simon. I loved Clary at first, but my favoritism of her has subsided as Simon has really come into his own. He is great: caring and loyal, and his sarcasm is great. He and Jace play off each other well and I love the scenes with both of them.
This early in the series, probably Clary and maybe Izzy.
"Love, love, LOVE!"
This story is epic, even though I do feel that SuCo rushed the ending. It felt all smashed together at the last minute :(
The premise of the series may not be completely original (The Giver, etc.) but the shock value, emotion, and delivery is perfection.
I've listened to each THG book and McCormick is an amazing narrator! She is one of my favorites.
If you don't cry during this book, you have no soul.
