Evie hangs her head in sorrow for just a moment when she knows she is truly alone. She feels like she's going to her execution, just as he had said. Then she moves forward again. She hops a fence of fieldstone and crosses a field dotted with Queen Anne's lace. Goose bumps rise on her arms as she passes the cluster of windmills that she's seen in a dream. The scent is sweet in the field though, not the scent of heat, like it had been when it was forced upon her in visions.

I previously read the premonition series before purchasing the audio book. I love the audio version just as much. Being an Audio book fan there are a few books that I have purchased multiple times. I began this series with a discounted Kindle price. I quickly bought them to display on my book shelf and lend to friends. Once I realized they were finally on Audible I gobbled em right up! If you enjoy Urban Fantasy this book is for you. If you enjoy an author that can make you laugh, this book is for you. If you enjoy super hot guys that steal your heart and soul, this book is definitely for you. Start with book one and you will be here in no time looking for book 3 and 4! Emily Woo Zeller has found the voice of Evie. Im not listening to a book anymore, Im in the story experiencing it first hand. Zeller does a great job with an amazing story written by a Rock Star author!

An orphan's life is harsh---and often short---in the island city of Camorr, built on the ruins of a mysterious alien race. But born with a quick wit and a gift for thieving, Locke Lamora has dodged both death and slavery, only to fall into the hands of an eyeless priest known as Chains---a man who is neither blind nor a priest. A con artist of extraordinary talent, Chains passes his skills on to his carefully selected "family" of orphans---a group known as the Gentlemen Bastards.

This book came highly recommended by another author that rates at the top of every list I have ever had and ever will have. I began listening to this book with high expectations. I have to admit, I was quite board with it. I just couldn't find that connection. I began to listen in vain because hey, I used a credit on this book, Im not wasting it! I thought if these characters were to die on the next page it wouldn't matter to me in the least. But when that page eventually came along, I cared. A lot! I somehow became very invested into these characters along the way. I will continue to purchase this series only after a few others in my wish list are completed. I gave this book a 4 out of 5 because there is nothing really to pick apart with this book. The story was well written and the narrator did a great job.

Few books have captivated the imagination and won the devotion and praise of readers and critics everywhere as has George R. R. Martin’s monumental epic cycle of high fantasy that began with A Game of Thrones. Now, in A Feast for Crows, Martin delivers the long-awaited fourth book of his landmark series, as a kingdom torn asunder finds itself at last on the brink of peace . . . only to be launched on an even more terrifying course of destruction.

Does it really matter that Roy Dotrice changes the pronunciation of a few names? Does it really matter that his voice for one character isnt the same as it was in previous books? Maybe if this were a different series. But this is GAME OF THRONES people. I personally can overlook any minor changes in performance considering the vast scope of this story. This book alone is nearly 34 hours. Along with the mind boggling amount of characters, Dotrice deliver's and amazing performance. To anyone who has made it this far, you simply can't stop now because of a few minor inflections of voice and pronunciation. Download and enjoy. :)

For a 2,000-year-old Druid, Atticus O’Sullivan is a pretty fast runner. Good thing, because he’s being chased by not one but two goddesses of the hunt - Artemis and Diana - for messing with one of their own. Dodging their slings and arrows, Atticus, Granuaile, and his wolfhound Oberon are making a mad dash across modern-day Europe to seek help from a friend of the Tuatha Dé Danann. His usual magical option of shifting planes is blocked, so instead of playing hide-and-seek, the game plan is...run like hell.

Great series about a dog....wait, its not about a dog? I guess that depends on who you ask. Either way Mr. Hearne has given us another great book from the Iron Druid Chronicles. I simply LOVE this series. I love the mythology and lore. I love getting to hear Oberon's point of view. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE listening to Luke Daniels narrate! I would listen to this man read his grocery list. This series is worth the listen, its worth a credit. If I didn't have a credit I would still purchase this book.

She's alive, but how much longer will it take until she begs him not to be?

Dubbed the American Tolkien by Time magazine, George R. R. Martin has earned international acclaim for his monumental cycle of epic fantasy. Dotrice still delivers an amazing performance on an already amazing epic tale. If you enjoy TGOT then you cant miss out on purchasing book 5. Don't let a few bad reviews ward you off. Its Game. of. Thrones. and Roy Dotrice is one of the best at what he does.

Soon-to-be college freshman Evie Claremont had hoped that once she'd arrived on Crestwood's campus, the nightmare that she'd been having would go away. It hasn't. She may be an inexperienced 17-year-old, but she's grounded... sane. She looks for rational explanations to even the strangest circumstances. Since meeting sophomore Reed Wellington, however, nothing makes any sense. Whenever he's near, she feels an attraction to him - a magnetic kind of force pulling her toward him.

I am a huge fan of this series and I love listening to my audio books as well so this has been long awaited in my book! (pun intended)
Narrators in general can make or break a good book. Is this the case with Inescapable? Maybe so. There were many times I felt the cynicism, and sarcasm was lost on Miss Zeller. This key ingredient was one of the reasons I connected with this book, I understood the main character, Evie through and through. I do recommend listening to this series because AB is an incredible story teller with an exciting heart pounding twist on love, friendship and all things paranormal. Tell your friends and buy em' all!

There are so many bad reviews of this book out there. Maybe understand where they are coming from, but just couldn't help but love this book. This isn't the first controversial book I ended up loving. (Beautiful Disaster, and Angel Fall) I enjoyed the unique, eccentric writing style. I enjoyed having an antagonist with sociopathic, homicidal tendencies. It made him unpredictable and scary. I enjoyed having a heroine that wasn't indestructible with all the right answers. Juliet was a human being breaking under the pressure of being separated from humanity basically her entire life. And I loved Adam, who was also broken as a young child, and how he relates to Juliet becoming each others anchor to reality. I loved how we as the reader get to see inside the head of someone who was emotionally unstable. Overall, this book was unique, original, intense, heartbreaking, and Shattering. I loved this book. I recommend giving it a try. Its not for everyone, but it struck all the right cords with me.

After 12 years of secret training, Atticus O’Sullivan is finally ready to bind his apprentice, Granuaile, to the earth and double the number of Druids in the world. But on the eve of the ritual, the world that thought he was dead abruptly discovers that he’s still alive, and they would much rather he return to the grave. Having no other choice, Atticus, his trusted Irish wolfhound, Oberon, and Granuaile travel to the base of Mount Olympus, where the Roman god Bacchus is anxious to take his sworn revenge - but he’ll have to get in line behind an ancient vampire, a band of dark elves, and an old god of mischief.

Kevin Hearne does it again. Another great adventure with Atticus O’Sullivan! The only draw back to this audiobook was the fact that Luke Daniels narration sounded different. The voice of Atticus wasn't the same as the previous 4 books. Do I recommend this title? Of course I do! I love the humor and wit Kevin Hearne gives the voice of his characters. Oberon cracks me up. Start with book one if you haven't already. Be sure and warn anyone around you who are unsure you're listening to an audiobook that there may be spontaneous moments of hilarity.

Around the world, black handprints are appearing on doorways, scorched there by winged strangers who have crept through a slit in the sky. In a dark and dusty shop, a devil's supply of human teeth grown dangerously low. And in the tangled lanes of Prague, a young art student is about to be caught up in a brutal otherwordly war. Meet Karou. She fills her sketchbooks with monsters that may or may not be real; she's prone to disappearing on mysterious "errands"; she speaks many languages - not all of them human; and her bright blue hair actually grows out of her head that color.

Daughter of Smoke and Bone was a refreshing change from the "angel" genre. It was an entirely different story altogether. As much as I enjoyed having something unique to listen to, the author had given a review at the conclusion of the book. The doubt and lack of confidence Laini Taylor admits to in her difficulties of writing gives ME doubt to continue the series. Looking back on the story after hearing this, I realized the lack of direction and thought process in the storyline. I sill enjoyed the book but do not recommend using a credit.
