"Great"
A great presentation of the best contemporary writer.
"Go to the movie"
The story is fine for its genre but this recording has an echo in the background. It's bad enough listening to the snooty narrator without having to listen him echoed back a few seconds later.
Much the same. More cerebral than blow 'em up type novels.
Too highbrow even for an English spy novel.
Disappointment
Pray for a re make.
"Really bad"
This book is really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really bad. If you've stayed with this review this long, then you probably have the tolerance to put up with this inane dribble. This book is like one of these 1980's Saturday Night Live skits that had no point and no puchline and just served to separate commercial breaks. At least SNL only lasted an hour. This book is not funny. Just sad.
"More Lies for Your Money"
I loved it! At least Franken is telling the truth when he says he's a liar. This is the medium for Al, the written word just doesn't do him justice.
"Juvenile"
This book is the continuation of the previous book(s) by this author and doesn't stand well on its own. I haven't read the earlier books and feel like I came in on the middle reel of a long movie. I will not be buying the previous episodes to find out what the story is about and who the characters are. Nor will I be buying the next books to find out how the story ends.
