"Looking forward to the next book from O'Malley"
Very well-written and entertaining. First half is more of a mystery, establishes the alternate world history and second half is very funny as the story and the main character settle in. Narrator took a little getting used to at the beginning with the slightly unusual cadence but I got used to it quickly and her performance was exceptional. There was a scene with dentists in the second half that made me laugh out loud and I was listening on the subway at the time. Looking forward to more stories from O'Malley and will check out other books narrated by Duerden.
"In the words of Beast: Fun!"
Great series with well-developed characters. Enjoying the evolution of Jane and Beast's relationship, especially as more of their past is revealed and the background of Native American mythology adds depth. I've listened to Khristine Hvam narrate other books (Cast series by Michelle Sagara) and she always does a great job giving different characters distinct voices. One minor criticism is that her grasp of European accents isn't great but overall, a very good performance.
