    What was one of the most memorable moments of The Patriarch?

    For me it was probably when the family was notified of sister Kathleens death.


    What about Malcolm Hillgartner’s performance did you like?

    Everything. His changing accents for different characters was excellent.


    Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Probably. But for me it was better to do it a couple of chapters at a time.

    I learned things about what went on in London during the war years that I had never thought about.


    What about Arthur Morey’s performance did you like?

    His diction made it a great listen.


    Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    I did not realize how bad things were over there in the years after the war ended.
