I will be listening to this book often, probably once a month. It is very short and a great kick in the pants to do what you were put on this earth to do. It is based around writers, but really could apply to anything!

Pocket has been Lear's cherished fool for years. So naturally Pocket is at his brainless, elderly liege's side when Lear demands that his kids swear to him their undying love and devotion. Of course Goneril and Regan are only too happy to brownnose Dad. But Cordelia believes that her father's request is kind of...well...stupid, and her blunt honesty ends up costing her her rightful share of the kingdom and earns her a banishment to boot.

If you could sum up Fool in three words, what would they be?

    Perfect F*%^ing French

What other book might you compare Fool to and why?

    Anything Vonnegut...but smarter.

Which character – as performed by Euan Morton – was your favorite?

    Pocket, for sure

If you could rename Fool, what would you call it?

Pocket: The Fool (Yep, real creative...I like the name already)

    Any additional comments?

This is such a hilarious, witty book. Lewd? Yes! Crude? For sure. It samples tons of familiar Shakespearean plays and themes. It is a story about a boy who is abandoned and learns to be clever at an orphanage. He becomes a fool and does a great job at entertaining everyone. I can't express enough how thoroughly I enjoyed this book. There was surprise after delightful, naughty surprise. Though hilarious and naughty, this book also screams about what it means to be a kind person. You will fall in love with Fool! I think this is Christopher Moore's best yet!
