After years of being presumed dead, Palestine’s most feared terrorist emerges from hiding with a plan for utter domination of the Middle East: the Shaitan Commandment. With a quartet of the region’s deadliest soldiers, he puts into motion a scheme that spells doom for the Western world. His target is not Israel, but Israel’s protector: the United States. On their trail is Alabaster, an Israeli special-forces agent whose true identity is buried under so many layers of deception that not even the Mossad knows who he really is. But every terrorist has heard of him, and knows to be afraid.

When I got this book I thought I was getting a terrorist story from present day that would be relevant to todays times. It was a good story that would have been even better if it didn't take place in the 80's with Yassar Arafat still in charge. Was not what I was looking for.

In the tradition of bestsellers by Robert Ludlum and Vince Flynn, Termination Orders introduces Dan Morgan, a retired black-ops agent who must return to duty to thwart a deadly international conspiracy.

Once a trained killer for the CIA, Dan Morgan has built a new life for himself. But when he receives a desperate plea from his former black-ops partner - reportedly killed in a foreign battle zone - he flies in to help. It should be a routine mission, extracting a human asset from the region, but it’s not - it’s an ambush.

Good first book and it has garnered a lot of attention. I just don't what I think about it. The hero is no hero at all. He makes some moves that would be considered heroic and then he goes and does something purely for his own self interest. Just not sure how I feel about it.

Action-packed from the start, Hidden Order demonstrates yet again why Brad Thor is the "master of thrillers". A string of high-profile kidnappings has Washington, D.C., in a frenzy. When the victims begin turning up dead, frenzy turns to panic. And when the ransom demand is finally made public, panic will turn to terror. In Brad Thor's riveting new thriller, the stakes have never been higher, nor the lines between good and evil so hard to discern.

I have not been happy with Brad Thor on his last several books so it is nice to see him back on point. Path of the Assassin might be my favorite book of all time so I love the Horvath series but it was just going sideways. This one is back to being a current headline.
