I liked it. She gives you some things to think about. Not very specific, but feels good. Felt like it ended to soon.
I enjoyed the stories, but found the advice to be dated. I dont need to be reminded to smile at my wife.
I listened to this book with my wife and we really enjoyed it. Its well told and I felt that being read by the author added a flavor to it that you wouldnt get reading the book. It gives you an interesting glimpse into the Afghan culture. Well worth listening to.
I really enjoyed the story and characters. But whats with the new names for measurments and time.. Why bother? I found it distracting.. Also think I would have prefered a regular reading rather than the dramitization style of this... I sometimes found it hard to hear what was going on, and the sound effects in the background didnt really add to the story.. Those complaints aside I really enjoyed the book.
I think the thing I got most from this book, is that issues we are having are common and we are not experiencing something others havent dealt with. There was some basic good information that pointed out some of the stuff we have been doing poorly, but didnt give much real advice for moving forward. It did offer some advice for people that really cant talk or communicate on issues...
