Robert recap of a lot of his books but a good one since it adds a lot of depth and breadth. However it is good also as an introduction to his view that can be expanded later with the other books. There is a lot of repetition even inside the book itself however, I don't mind it since I believe that it hones the ideas in.
Taxing, Comprehensive, Must.
Singularity (Ray), Abundance (Dimantis)
At times overwhelming, at times taxing. The reading of Al Gore is somewhat tiring at times but the message is always detailed, sharp and crucially important.
The reader is required to be smart and work through it but the payoff is amazing.
I was reading this after Singularity (Ray), Abundance (Dimantis) thinking it would be more or less a reiteration but I was amazed at the breath and depth of Al Gore knowledge.
The amounts of new information I was not aware of spanned and interwined between politics, genomics, global warming, world issues, robotics and a plethora of issues all backed up with ample of research details.
A must. As said taxing but book for the wise.
Being a long time self improvemnet reader it is hard for me to find a book that will maintain my level of interest. However this one does pack up and orderes a lot of all the principales that are spread accross the genere and does that in a refreshing unassuming interesting and fluent style. Thus it is a recomended reading for novice and experienced alike.
