It's just seven days before Memorial Day, and a spike in CIA intelligence has pointed to a major terrorist attack on the United States. Now it's up to counterterrorism operative Mitch Rapp to pull out all the stops. Rapp immediately leaves for Afghanistan, where he leads a special forces unit on a daring commando raid across the border into a remote Pakistani village. Their target: an al-Qaeda stronghold. Rapp and his team soon discover plans for a catastrophic nuclear attack on Washington, DC.

Almost as good as American Assassin, I still think AA was his best but Memorial Day is close behind it. I really enjoyed this one.

Rina's small storefront synagogue has been desecrated with anti-Semitic graffiti and grisly Nazi death camp photographs. The alleged perpetrator is 17-year-old Ernesto Golding, a "rich kid" obsessed with haunting suspicions about the origins of his Polish paternal grandfather.

Would you consider the audio edition of Running Blind to be better than the print version?

Maybe. You have to listen closely because his books tend to go from one story to another without pause.

    Any additional comments?

This is a good story, with a good surprise at the end. Never saw that coming. I do agree with a previous review where the FBI characters were made to look dumb. Not realistic, other than that, I really enpyed this book.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I wouldn't recomend this book too highly. The story was good but sometimes the author goes into way too much details at the wrong times.

What did you like best about this story?

The story takes the reader into different directions, where you're not sure of the outcome until towards the end of the book.

Did Jonathan McClain do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

    No, I wasn't too impressed.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, again becasue the details comes up at times when the story starts to get interested.

Buried within the black ops budgets of the Department of Defense, a new spy agency has been created. Unfettered by the oversight of self-serving politicians, it reports only to a secret panel of military insiders. Seth Hubbard is a wealthy man dying of lung cancer. He trusts no one. Before he hangs himself from a sycamore tree, Hubbard leaves a new, handwritten, will. It is an act that drags his adult children, his black maid, and Jake into a conflict as riveting and dramatic as the murder trial that made Brigance one of Ford County's most notorious citizens, just three years earlier. The second will raises far more questions than it answers. Why would Hubbard leave nearly all of his fortune to his maid? Had chemotherapy and painkillers affected his ability to think clearly?
