I love this book, and enjoy it more every time I listen to it. I like the way Nora Ephron reads her words, and although I will never lead a life like hers, I can empathize well with her experiences.
I found this and the other 2 series mostly hilarious, apart from sometimes getting irritated by the way Gervais is so screechingly arrogant. But Karl is wonderful to listen too...far too funny to be for real. His simplistic attitude to life and technology is hilariously refreshing...for example, his assumption that lawyers in the UK wear wigs in court as disguises.
If you don't find humor in the absurd, then Karl's very British attitudes are probably not going to have you laughing out loud. I personally can't get enough ofit, and would gladly pay for many more series!
The story was great...typical Evanovich characters, but the voice of the reader was annoying and it made the main character rather unsympathetic.
