If you could sum up Iron Gray Sea in three words, what would they be?

    Action,character development

Who was your favorite character and why?

Silva-The captain is great as are the generals but this character seems to just hit home. He sometimes seems dumb but that is far from the reality. EVERYONE should sift the characters and be prepared for a wonder ride.

What about William Dufris’s performance did you like?

The narator is perfect and needs to stay on. I bet he wouldn't quit anyhow because he wants to turn each page and see what happens next.

    Any additional comments?

If everyone on Audible could pick one book to start a series then volume one of 7 so far is the perfect place to start. I love Cussler and Lee Child but overall this is the best series. I can never turn the I-TOUCH off.

Jon Willing was just a teenager when he and his buddies Augie and Ben stole a fortune in drug money. Brazen with youth and stoned out of their gourds, they thought they had the perfect plan for getting away with it. They were wrong. Twenty-five years later, Jon’s marriage is in ruins, his kids are virtual strangers, and the recession has decimated his finances. When he finds Augie murdered in Vegas, Jon knows his past has risen from the grave to grab him by the throat. Now Jon Willing faces a choice: run to a paradise of wine and women and endless sunshine or confront the demons from his past and fight for what’s left of his imperfect suburban life.

Would you listen to The Accounting again? Why?

No-Only because I never listen to a book twice.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the stories flow and the crisp writing with snap back dialogue.

    Any additional comments?

I have read two reviews that said the reader did not finish listening or did not care how this one ended. Frankly I wonder what kind of a fiction book could please those reviewers. This is a solidly written story and it was performed well. I will look forward to more from this author.

It seems at first like a simple, tragic story. Tyler Wingo, a teenage boy, learns the awful news that his father, a soldier, was killed in action in Afghanistan. Then the extraordinary happens: Tyler receives a communication from his father...after his supposed death. Tyler hires Sean and Michelle to solve the mystery surrounding his father. But their investigation quickly leads to deeper, more troubling questions. Could Tyler's father really still be alive? What was his true mission? Could Tyler be the next target? Sean and Michelle soon realize that they've stumbled on to something bigger and more treacherous than anyone could have imagined.

What made the experience of listening to King and Maxwell the most enjoyable?

I think what made me like the book from the beginning was easily because of the other series books and the TV series making the characters be in focus.

What did you love best about The Sixth Man?

The story never seemed to have a slow point so I just kept listening until the guy says " Audible hopes you enjoyed this program,"

What about Ron McLarty and Orlagh Cassidy ’s performance did you like?

The writing is good enough so the two of them seem to easily weave in and out of the story.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I liked the last chapter and the ending

The long-planned raid on the heart of the Grik Empire has grown more ambitious - and dangerously ill-defined. Only Matthew Reddy, commander of the old destroyer USS Walker, seems focused on its original intent. Many Lemurians see an opportunity to reconquer their sacred homeland, which was stolen long ago, and have no intention of simply striking a blow and then pulling back. Others, Lemurian and human, have their own agendas - which may not be in the best interests of the Alliance.

Would you try another book from Jack Campbell and/or Christian Rummel?

Good writer and I keep my eye out for word on his new releases. The narrator, Chris Rummel is really good. I sometimes make purchases based on who is narrating.

Was Steadfast worth the listening time?

I felt this was the weakest book in the series yet it was worth listening to though I kept waiting for it to suddenly get better. That did not happen but I will still wait for the next volume.

The incredible true story of nine Hellcat submarines assigned to penetrate the dense minefields protecting the sea of Japan. In 1945-with no knowledge of the development of the atomic bomb- American submarine commanders, desperate to avoid an invasion of the home islands, believed that if the Japanese merchant fleet was sunk, the enemy would be forced to surrender.

What did you like best about Hellcats? What did you like least?

With a tale to tell the author concentrated on two characters that brought the story to life. This I agree was the best way to present the details.

The part I liked least was the lack of suspense related to one characters demise. You knew he was lost and the book just took too long to explain what was unable to be explained. The Navy basically lost contact with a sub that the Japs likely took out based on post war records etc.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

I would see it because it would make a better movie when presented with good visuals which are of course left to the readers imagination as the audio story is presented. It has been too long without a good Submarine movie hitting the theaters.

Heading off for a weekend in Las Vegas with her friends, Jessie Ralle has only one worry: how to make it through the road trip in the same car as her ex, Jimmy Kelter. The guy she hasn’t come close to getting over since he broke up with her five months ago. The guy who’s finally ready to tell her why he did it, because now he wants her back. Only, sometimes knowing why doesn’t actually make things better. Sometimes it leads to bigger, more terrifying questions.

What was most disappointing about Christopher Pike’s story?

I liked the way the book started off and the Vegas casino stuff but really when the heroine ends up in the desert and then in a frozen state from being in a meat locker, I thought it was time to consider something else.

Any book done by narrator Dick Hill has to be decent and this one was better because of the narrator.

I had read the other books written years back and was surprised to see this new one on Audible. It is worth the listen though it maybe of help to have followed the characters in the earlier books.

Would you consider the audio edition of The 500 to be better than the print version?

I enjoy listening more than actually reading books these days. At the park listening while I walk the puppy works better for me. This book gets you invested in the characters and the story.

What about Jay Snyder’s performance did you like?

As is the case with all audible reviews, you have to like the narrators job if the book hooks you.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I liked following the main character not quite being the honest young attorney falling in onto the bad site and then trying to outwit other bad guys to survive.

    Any additional comments?

I for one would like to see if the character comes back in a second book as I would give it a listen.

Would you listen to Veronica Mars again? Why?

I liked the new movie and this book followed immediately behind it. There should be more coming- I hope.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Veronica Mars?

Kristen Bells narration is what makes the listen so appealing. You have seen her in character on TV and in the movie. Having her in character in the book is great.

    Any additional comments?

It is a just a good listen
