On Manhattan’s Upper East Side, a woman lies dead at the bottom of a brownstone’s basement steps, stripped of all her valuables. Most cops might call it a mugging gone wrong, but Lieutenant Eve Dallas knows better. A well-off accountant and a beloved wife and mother, Marta Dickenson doesn’t seem the type to be on anyone’s hit list. But when Eve and her partner, Peabody, find blood inside the brownstone, she knows Marta’s murder is the work of a killer who’s trained, yet not professional or smart enough to remove all the evidence.

When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.

Would you try another book from E. L. James and/or Becca Battoe?

    No

What could E. L. James have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

    Take writing lessons!!

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Becca Battoe?

She read material, that in my opinion, no one could have helped!!

    Any additional comments?

Its hard to relate, the conversations are unreal, real conversations with real people just are not so passive. However, someone liked them, I can't fathom how this book made ant best seller lists, it has to be the intrigue or probably the lust factor. I found it dull and boring.
