"I loved this book!"
I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a good laugh especially anyone close to retirement age. Juliet Mills was terrific.
I can't think of any. This was unique.
I loved how she did all the different voices. She did an excellent job on her Indian accents.
I so enjoyed the book that I wanted to see the movie. That was a big mistake. What a huge disappointment. The only thing similar was India and a few elderly people move to India! Don't watch the movie. It will ruin any wonderful memories of this story. The only good thing in the movie was watching Judi Densch. She is one of my favourite actors. This book was very entertaining.
"This was a nice story. Not bad but not great."
I listened to it on a long drive to visit my family in Canada so it helped make the time go by faster.
Not sure. It would depend on the story.
I like Elizabeth McGovern as an actress but her reading was a little one dimensional. I'm used to listening to the fabulous Davina Porter who acts out all the voices when she reads a book so it's hard for anyone to beat her. However, Juliette Mills comes pretty close to it.
Yes.
I didn't know until I listened to the book that Louise Brooks lived and died here in Rochester, NY. I found out where she's buried and plan to go visit her grave soon.
"Rob Lowe did a great job!"
Maybe be in a few years because I already know the story.
I liked when he impersonated the people he was talking about.
Carey Grant.
I wouldn't say I had any extreme reactions but I did laugh a few times.
I thought the book was well written. It moved along at the right pace. It could have had a few more stories about other stars he interacted with but on the whole, I really enjoyed listening to this book.
