Not in the same class as his first novels. Redwall was really very good. This novel did not add much to the series. A case of an author putting out books on a schedule rather than as a work of art.
Less repetition better cohesion in the subject matter.
No the principals are universal. This author seemed to have "padded" to create a longer book. The information could have been covered in less than 3hrs of narration.
The narrator did a good job. His narrative was one good thing and kept me listening
Disappointing is a word that comes to mind after painfully listening to the end of this book. The salient information could have been covered in less than 2 hours. You will get some good insights if you can cope with the repetitive somewhat disjointed presentation of the information.
If you are able to distill the important parts of this book you will find good information
Many years ago, I listened to the audio tape it helped motivate me considerably. It has 100 practical actions you can perform to profundly help motivate you. A simple one is to create a tape of songs which make you feel happy then play the tape when you feel down, it is sure to put you in a good mood/frame of mind. Find the ones which work for you and listen to them daily.
Great story. Enjoyable. My son and I listened to it nearly non-stop. It follows the previous books well.
Great listen. Enjoyed every moment of it. Wonder why author has not finished series. Well worth your while to listen to.
It was difficult to follow the story. The characters were dificult to distinguish. All in all it was confusing to discern who was who. The story line was weak. I was disappointed, I will not listen to any more of the series.
I absolutely enjoyed this book. My 13yr old son also enjoyed it. We listening to it non-stop. He keeps asking me when the next one will be out.
I found the book helpful. It agreed with my investment style of longer term investing rather than quick turn-arounds. Well worth listening to the "value" vs "growth" side of investing.
Can't wait for the next one in the series, well worth listening to. I listened to it nearly non-stop, so did my 13yr old son.
Definitely British humor, like Douglas Adams and Terry Prachett. Not earth shaking but enjoyable. You will listen to it to the end with a smile on your face.
