Right up there
At the Mountains of Madness because it engages with similar concepts of beings from another dimension.
What lives on the other side of the mirror?
Loved it - best since Lovecraft and Philip K Dick
So predictable. So lame.
Just too predictable
Great character actor amazing vocal control. Way above this tripe.
I would have rewritten it to be about the gothic of the south and some other layers of mystical perversion. The area is so witchy why not really go into a Fever Dream instead of an Anne Rice rip off.
I would try another book from Ms. Whelan but I will never give Roberts another go.
The Temporal Void by Peter F Hamilton
She's a talented actress
I would describe this book as - Semi autistic trauma survivor does her rendition of 'Are You There God it's Me Margaret'. This book sparked a reaction of annoyance in me that an adult woman would write this for other adults. I am finishing it but I've fast forwarded through large portions of it. Ridiculously cliched. I would have enjoyed it more if it focused more on the action less on the romance.
A better book
The Mystery of Edwinn Drood by Charles Dickens
He brings the English
Middle aged sex - no thank you
Make the lines between magical realism and the real clearer. Don't apply rational ideas to magical realism and don't lend magic to the moments of reality.
Yes - fabulous writing and the perfect narrator
When Blaine comes into the tunnel on the belly of a squealer
No but I will listen to more
The descriptive and colloquial language. The character development.
This needed to be read by an Englishman. It's really the producer's fault kind of an expensive and unfortunate mistake on a bit of a no brainer.
Chester. I prefer the company of animals to humans.
I liked the history the best - I liked the pseudo feminist tone least
No - it's milk sop and lacks teeth
I the performer were less delicate - she should read classics for women. All the older male voices sound like Judd Hirsch - some Jewish New Yorker not really getting the Boston sound
Harvest is better
Yes but only if they're into grizzly medical stories
Great vocal characterizations
When the Russian boy and Abbey are in the dark holding each other
I'll be getting myself some more Tess Gerritsen
Great production value
That it's totally unabridged and you can drink in every detail.
Elocution intonation dramatization and even breathing
When they run from the Shogaths
