This is a depressing book, I have read nearly all of Stephen Kings book and I really did not like this one. I wish he had left his political views out of it, not all of us feel the way he does. This will be the last of his books I will buy or read.
This book is excellent, starts off with action and ends the same way. It gives a glimpse of the McCarthy era, and the craziness that took hold of the country at that time. This book has it all, the strength of true love, survival and the fight that most humans struggle with every day between good and evil. Will Patton is an awesome narrator and truly brings the story to life.
This book starts off great but goes down from there. It just goes to corny towards the end. It leaves you hanging. It is just not as good as her other books.
I love Grisham's first few books, but this one left a lot to be desired. I am sad that he feels the need to drag up the past and make his home state look bad. It has become the custom of some southern writers to put down their home states instead of pointing out some of the good things they have to offer.
I have read several of Kellerman's books, this one was not one of the best. I did not care for the narrator. The person who narrates makes or breaks a book. The book starts way too slow and continues until the second half.
I have just started reading his books and they are great. Once I get started listening I cannot quit until the end. I especially like the ones with Sean and Michelle in them. A great listen full of twist and turns.
I have read quit a few of Patricia Cornwell's books and all have been very entertaining. Great stories and intrigue. I will continue to read her books.
Overall a great read, I love the details of each character's life and how they interact. I especially like the complicated Dave Robicheaux and his constant fight to stay on the straight and narrow.
I love James Lee Burke's books, the narrator of this one was not as good as his other narrators. I am from Louisiana and listening to someone try to speak with a southern accent is aggravating. Will Paton does it the best. This book like the rest start off with a bang and keeps you entertained from start to finish. Love James Lee Burke
This book made me laugh, and I need to laugh. Well written with a great mix of serious and fun. One of his best.
I love mysteries and thrillers, Michael Connelly is one of the best. I like a story that starts with a bang and continues all the way through, Mr. Connelly delivers. At this point I have listened to several and I have been well pleased with everyone. Please keep writing.
