"Good story but bad narration"
I thought this was a good story made less so by the narration. The narrator's male voices were terrible, especially Matthew. She made him sound like an oaf which took away from the story. I actually winced in parts.
"Narrator almost kills it...."
I read this series a year or so ago and thought it would be fun to listen to the audiobook. The narrator does a pretty good job of ruining this book with her sing songy whiny voice. Every sentence has the same flow of pitch, from low at the beginning to a high whiny sound. May stop me from finishing. I was sad to see that she narrates the other two as well.
"The best."
I read this book for the first time when I was thirteen. I wondered whether I would enjoy it as much now that I'm an adult and listened to this audiobook to see. The performance actually adds to the story, which I think is usually not the case with audiobooks. Perfect.
