Stephen Sheerin was born to play on Broadway - or at least, under it. He's a musician, a conductor, and his dream is to music-direct a big Broadway musical. After years of toiling in the pit of some of the best-loved (and loathed) hits on the Great White Way, he's just been given his big break. Can life really be going that well? Of course not.

Michael says: "A *must-have* for any fan of Broadway or humor!"
    "Fun Summer Read"
    Overall

Really fun, sweet, snarky listen. I enjoyed every minute, and the characterizations are all spot-on. The actors are all first rate. It reminds me of Armistead Maupin...Just like AM, he creates a world for us that I didn't want to leave.
    Seth clearly knows his subject.

    Keep writing, Seth.

If you thought fiction couldn't get darker than then think again. Nineteen Seventy Seven, the second instalment of the Red Riding Quartet, is one long nightmare. Its heroes - the half decent copper Bob Fraser and the burnt-out hack Jack Whitehead - would be considered villains in most people's books.

    "Atmospheric, dark tale."
    Overall

Great reader, and very dark story. The level of the writing is high and the characters feel authentic to their time and place.

I want more! Can't wait for the last two in the series.

  • The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter

Carson McCullers was all of 23 when she published her first novel, The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter. She became an overnight literary sensation, and soon such authors as Tennessee Williams were calling her "the greatest prose writer that the South [has] produced." The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter tells an unforgettable tale of moral isolation in a small southern mill town in the 1930s.

    "Great performance"
    Overall

Cherry Jones really captured these characters for me. It reminded me of Julie Harris' great performance in the film of McCullers' Member of the Wedding. I was really engaged by the story, and Ms. Jones' reading added a dimension that I wouldn't have experienced if I had been reading it myself. Thank you.
