Dalmania

I would like to say I loved this book but unfortunately it didn't seem to have much plot. I enjoyed listening to the narrator, and I know that the story line moved along. The characters were engaging but the story was rather boring. You should still listen to it but I wonder if something in the story somehow just eluded me along the way.

I enjoyed this book and have since listened to book two. This tale is easy to listen and has enough story-line to keep me keen to return to find out what happens. Stacy Justice and her faithful Great Dane work to solve a mystery when her cousin's bar is burned down. Stacy lives in a small town with colourful friends, family, and neighbours.

Nanny and the Professor is not very original. I should have known better. A run-of-the-mill romance. Cassie, a nanny, moves in and the small Kingston family flourishes. Cassie's relationship to Eric adds a bit of a surprise. A lightweight happily-ever-after story.

Jake Sullivan is an ex-con turned detective and shafted by J Edgar Hoover. He has the power to bend gravity. I think he is the main character. However, it is hard to be sure as there are so many people introduced into the story that I found it difficult to keep them all straight. Their lives intersect but by that time there are many names floating around in my head.
I like Faye and her grandfather - both able to travel from place to place. This is the first of an as-of-yet two book series - with a third on the way.

Kissed by Fire starts off where Kissed by Darkness ended. I suggest readers listen to book 1 first. I like the characters: each with his or her own idiosyncrasies and personality. I like that the story is not predictable. Morgan continues to develop new talents. We learn more about both Morgan's and Kabita's interesting families.

Imaginative. Often funny. As good as the best other Linda Howard novels . Lizette has creative adventures. You will want to read this. Worth the credit.

I like happily-ever-after books. I do. The title gives this away. I am not revealing secrets. The start of the book is engaging. However, Ally does not seem to have matured much from her first wedding days. So why would Burke find her to be "still the one"? The narrator does a good job. The grandparents prove to be entertaining.

Any Janet Evanovich fan will read this. While Evanovich's romances are rarely as excellent as Stephanie's adventures, we fans will read it and enjoy it. I must admit I was surprised that it was a historical romance. The narrator was super as usual.

This book is definitely one of those summer books.It won't keep you awake for driving though. Nicole, the protagonist, is so shallow I felt like screaming at her. There is humour. Some of the action is fun. I liked the narrator's style. Not a lot more to it though.
