Would you listen to Sudden Prey again? Why?

I love Lucas Davenport. Unfortunately the first book I listened to was Sandfords latest Prey edition. I liked it and decided to start at the beginning. I think this one is the 6th or 7th in the series. The earlier ones were good but this one was simply awesome. It had me on the edge of my seat from the beginning to end. I couldn't wait to buy the next one. Fantastic voice and so realistic.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes all the way through til the end.

    Which scene was your favorite?

When the sniper shoot Lachez at the end. I knew it was coming but it was more powerful than I expected especially Weathers reaction.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    The whole thing

    Any additional comments?

    Love these

Maggie Beaumont's luck is about to change. Sure, she's known for her bad romantic choices-her former boyfriend broke up with her by bringing his new girlfriend home for a visit. And then there was the crush she had on a gorgeous young Irishman, who turned out to be Father Tim, the parish's new priest. But romantic salvation has arrived in the form of handsome, if surly, fisherman Malone. It turns out there's a heart of gold underneath his barnacle-clad exterior. Will this catch of the day turn into the dish of a lifetime?

If you could sum up Catch of the Day in three words, what would they be?

This is my first book of Higgins and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was funny and very realistic. The main charactor remains me of some of my younger days. The narrator handles the female voices well but struggles to vary the male ones. All in all, I loved it and am now looking for another one by the author.

What did you like best about this story?

the variation of the male and female voices

Which character – as performed by Xe Sands – was your favorite?

    Maggie by far

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    The end was great

    Any additional comments?

All in all a great read

When FBI agent Grayson Kincaid first encounters Olivia MacKenzie, she makes quite an impression. The beautiful, tough young attorney has stumbled into the middle of an FBI sting operation and reduced it to chaos. Months of surveillance and careful planning down the drain, Kincaid’s partner is furious and lets Olivia know that she’s ticked off the wrong guy. After all, he’s FBI. But Olivia isn’t intimidated by his partner’s bullying because she’s something even scarier...she’s IRS.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Another great story by Julie Garwood but the narrator annoyed the heck out of me. Her inflection was horrible most of the time. She needs to put more feeling into her performance because she takes away from a fantastic author's work.

What did you like best about this story?

    Olivia's personality

How could the performance have been better?

    Get another narrator

Did Sweet Talk: A Novel inspire you to do anything?

    No

Best-selling author Linda Lael Miller sets hearts racing with her pulse-pounding tales of the Montana Creeds. Recorded Books’ listeners have thrilled to the stories of the Creed brothers, as rugged and complex as the Montana landscape. And for A Creed in Stone Creek, Miller outdoes herself with a work as wholly winning and addictive as the Creeds themselves.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Yes I would change the voice. There is nothing wrong with the reader's style but he sounds much older than the Creed men. He would be great performing a David Baldacci book like Stone Cold because the character is older. There was just too much of an age difference in him so it took a lot away from another of Linda Lael Miller's great story lines. I'm sorry but it kept making me mad because I had a hard time visualizing the handsome young cowboy. I'll buy the other Creed books from book story and read it the traditional way.

What other book might you compare A Creed in Stone Creek to and why?

    None

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Jack Garrett?

    Mel Foster or Laurel Merlington
