The story ends with an heroic climax. The possibility that prophecy might turn out this way is interesting.
The relationship between the hero and heroine.
The way it was done, drew me into the imagination of the story. It felt as if I was there.
It makes me weep for the USA and for the fate of the world when alienated from God.
Read the entire series!
First female lead character. Like all Sacketts, Echo is more than she appears to be.
Sackett's Land, for the theme of swindlers attempting to cheat the main character occurs in both books.
I could see in my mind the books contents as if watching a movie.
The old attorney who was friend with Echo's grandfather.
The book was just too brief . . . I didn't want it to end.
To the Far Blue Mountains
Character and Strength on a spider-web of destiny
Loved the buffalo
Have and would.
Too many. Loved them all.
Sackett code: come when called.
This entire series is both entertaining and inspiring.
The story burns clear
Too many to name one only. Barnabas is ever the main character. His character and wisdom coupled with strength of body and spirit.
Ole Black Tom
Abagale to see what caused her to be drawn to Barnabas, and Lila whose second sight marks all with their futures.
The escape from New Gate Prison and the Queens men keep you on the edge of your seat
Yes and I have done so twice already. First I read the saga, then purchased the volumes one by one on cassette. Now I am buying the digital audio book.
Escape from the a bully lord. The running recollection of Barnabas' father's teaching.
I can see the characters through his voice.
Barnabas to share his earthy wisdom.
Difficult to put down. Once finished the next story is quickly begun.
I would recommend this book, because I experienced something very similar in real life. The story might be fiction, but not what the story is about.
When Sally Roe came to place her trust in Jesus.
It is extreemly challenging (I don't know how they do it) to have one person do all the voice parts, male and female characters to the entire story. Sometimes the listener's idea of what a character should sound like, isn't the same as the performer's. This was so for me on the characters who were the Pastor and Christian School Principle. I picture them differently.
The story though fiction was for me reality. A joy to know which side wins!
The concern of God for his people. The story as seen by angels.
His voice and storytelling skills drew the listener into the tale.
For the Saints of God and for the LAMB
I first read this book in 1989 followed by its sequel. Like a dream, my life experiences were reenacted through the storyline. Since then I have read the two books about every three years. This is the first time I have listened to them. Doing so has not lessened the experience or imagination so much apart of reading.
I personally choose audio editions because of the headaches produced when I read. It makes this type media very valuable.
The insight into Iranian culture.
The final escape to America.
When the main character confessed and sought his wife's forgiveness.
I seldom recommend books. Like movies, they tend to be personal.
Yes, I have been following Terry since The Elfstones of Shannara was published. As long as he lives and writes, and I live and listen, I will be purchasing his works.
Not as well as other audible stories he has had published.
This is the first book of Terry's that I wondered whether he had a "ghost writer" helping him. The druids were cast as less than capable, the heroes unspectacular, the elves less than intelligent. The story didn't seem be coming from the same writer.
Ariella. Her self sacrifice.
Unique personal emotion.
A great youth fantasy. Looking forward to book 2
