"Don't miss the Manual!"
You may download the pdf of the manual that accompanies this audio from the detail page by clicking on the link at the bottom. Don't miss it...it's an important part of the program.
"Not for the easily offended..."
This book delves into extremely taboo subjects - particularly if you are Catholic. Strangely, though most may feel it is immoral and shocking, I found it to have it's own sort of morality that ultimately reveals itself ..but not without crossing all sorts of boundaries. if you are truly fascinated with the world of BDSM, this might be your cup of tea. If not...it's a bizarre landscape. I literally cringed more than once. Lots of sexual content.
"Enjoying this Series!"
I was very much looking forward to this second book in the series because I loved the main character - Deva Dunne...and I was not disappointed. It was a little like getting to spend time with someone I I had already met. Told in first person, you get a chance to hear what she's really thinking, really feeling about everything that happens. She's funny, vulnerable and sometimes flawed but always likeable. The plot keeps moving along with lots of twists and turns, larger than life characters and the growing love interest with Deva and Rossi. It's a good "beach listen" and I hope there's a new installment soon.
"Just finished "Narrows Gate""
Joey Pants was terrific!.His voices brought the audiobook experience to a whole new level. The dual narrators was just right. The story held my attention throughout . I'm glad it didn't glorify the
Mafia or the entertainment business.
I will find it hard to resist buying any audiobook with Joey Pants as a narrator.
"I love stories steeped in History"
Living in NJ, I found this story particularly interesting because Altantic City has had so many chapters to its history. I even know several surviving Pitneys and the tale they tell of their early ancestor corroborates this account. Mr. Montegna does a wonderful job. I thinking hearing this lays a terrific groundwork for the HBO series I'm looking forward to seeing this Fall.
"good listen"
Even though I found some of the character's behavior a bit inconsistent..I ultimately liked the story and enjoyed the narration too.
"A fascinating story well-told"
This was a terrific story of amazingly creative deception and greed - almost hard to believe because it had so many twists and turns. I really enjoyed LJ Ganzer's narration and energetic delivery.
"love her stories"
Mildred Taylor's stories are simply told, but do not spare either the young or old the complexities or deep sorrow of this time period in the segregated south. Her plots are never trite or even predictable. The narrator does a terrific job.
"moving and beautifully told"
This is a quietly moving story of both loss and hope...simply and effectively narrated. This one will stay with you for a long time.
"not only for older women!"
This is hysterical...in that typical Ephron witty way...the delivery is perfect.I would love to listen to this with friends...it really makes you laugh out loud at our human foibles and, sooner or later, she'll cover one that you share too.
