I thought this might be a cozy mystery, but the narrater spoke in a monotone and it became very distracting.
Monotone-maybe some expression?
I have only made it through part of the first chapter , i listened to parts of some later chapters and it doesn't get better. The narrator has a sing song cadence that is really annoying. I have tried to get into the book and hope that Ill stop noticing this. Im giving it another little bit. I wonder why theres not some quality control for this.
If I can't get past this i'll return the book.and read it the old fashioned way!
I am not a "zombie" fan, so I wasn't sure I'd like this but it had great reviews and I'm glad I did!. The writing is excellent-so descriptive. She described the budding branch, the mouse that forgot when to stop becoming an octopus, the little girl that was like a bag of fighting cats, just such a pleasure to listen to! (as you can read I'm not a writer) I'm not finished yet but had to write this review.
I had a really hard time following this book, my mind kept wandering and would have to rewind. I finally just stopped and asked for a return.
She was very good
I loved the Da Vinci code, I keep expecting something better- never even finished the Lost Symbol. I did finish this, but it was very boring. A very contrived plot-I'm a physician-totally unbelievable story about the amnesia?! Don't wast your time.
He is the only reason I stayed with it, would listen to him again!
I don't think I would have read it with out his narration. It made it much more entertaining.
I had expected much more than this very depressingbook. Characters were w/o any redeeming factors. I had loved the Potter books and think shes a great writer but the story was no more than a depressing soap opera. did fast forward thru many spots and kept thinking it would get better then it ended.
