The Star Kingdom of Manticore and the Republic of Haven have been enemies for Honor Harrington's entire life, and she has paid a price for the victories she's achieved in that conflict. And now the unstoppable juggernaut of the mighty Solarian League is on a collision course with Manticore. The millions who have already died may have been only a foretaste of the billions of casualties just over the horizon, and Honor sees it coming.

Would you try another book from David Weber and/or Allyson Johnson?

    no

What could David Weber have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

come up with a more original plot line with a logical end to the series.

Which character – as performed by Allyson Johnson – was your favorite?

    none in particular
The reading was outstanding. Too bad the narrator didn't have better material to work with.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Mission of Honor?

They all work together but that doesn't make the final product any better

    Any additional comments?

It reminds me of a SyFi channel series. It has to keep coming up with more plot twists with each one being more outlandish than the previous one until the series is cancelled because it becomes becomes unwatchable.

Jane Sagan: Soldier. Killer. Lover. Dreamer. In John Scalzi's best-selling Old Man's War series of science-fiction novels, we see this warrior woman as the other characters see her - silent and strong, from the outside. But now The Sagan Diary shows us Sagan from another point of view: her own, as she prepares to leave military life and join her new husband and adopted daughter on a colony world.

    Made it shorter

Would you be willing to try another one of Stephanie Wolfe and John Scalzi ’s performances?

    I'd rather eat worms

The mining ship El Cavador is far out from Earth, in the deeps of the Kuiper Belt, beyond Pluto. Other mining ships, and the families that live on them, are few and far between this far out. So when El Cavador’s telescopes pick up a fast-moving object coming in-system, it’s hard to know what to make of it. It’s massive and moving at a significant fraction of the speed of light.

El Cavador has other problems. Their systems are old and failing. The family is getting too big for the ship. There are claim-jumping corporate ships bringing Asteroid Belt tactics to the Kuiper Belt.

Where does Earth Unaware rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

    top 10%

What did you like best about this story?

It's a new twist on the Alien Invasion theme

Have you listened to any of the narrators’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I don't think I've heard this narrator before. He's not bad most of the time, but he can get overly excited at times. I don't really care for narrators that think a story needs embellishment with added by the narrator.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    no

    Any additional comments?

An excellent story by Card. I just hope he can resist the temptation to serialize it. It is a cliffhanger but, Card has supplied all we need to supply our own finish.
