"Excellent"
I wouldn't have thought it based on the overview but this was one of the best in the series. I love the attitude Grace has adn that while all of the characters have a moment of stupidity they recover quickly and move forward.
Sophie Eastlake does an excellent job with the characters as well.
"The better of the series I've read"
There are moments when the main character seems really immature and then others where he's really impressive so that sometimes throws the listener for a loop. He's not the typical military hero type, he's flawed (typical), a bit immature but he's funny.
"Eh"
Not great, pretty annoying actually even for a non-thinking book but not bad enough to return.
"Another winner"
The one liners cracked me up and made me laugh throughout. Some of the characters are a bit annoying but I can't help but want to know more what happened later!
"Loved it"
Absolutely love almost all of Jennifer Crusie's books and loved that this was a follow up to Temptation. I wish more of her books had a sequel, her character development always makes me want to know what happened to them after!
The narrator was fun to listen to as well and that always helps a great book be even better.
"Not great but I like the characters"
It's not a great book but I did enjoy it and I liked the development of characters. Because it's a series I'll most certainly listen or read the others to see what happens to them and how the main characters handle their parents abadonment.
"Giggle worthy"
Funny, light hearted and a great listen. Crusie is an excellent author and I almost always love her books.
"Love Crusie and Dawe -"
I love Jennifer Crusie, and Angela Dawe does a superb job narrating the various characters and relaying emotions and sarcasm. I highly recommend this one and quite frankly almost every one of Crusie's books.
"Fun, witty, light listen"
Both author and narrator combine to make an entertaining listen. Ms. Cruise does a great job with her characters and making them enjoyable to get to know. Her characters always have an affinity for animals, what's not to love?
"Not so much"
Maybe if the story had a different narrator it wouldn't have been so bad but she is so horrible to actually get through it was kind of painful.
"Good story and narrator"
Though some of the storyline is a bit out there for me I'll go further with the series. The narrator did an excellent job of speeding my heart rate, making me smile, grit my teeth and empathize with the characters.
I definately want to know what's going on with the rest of the characters!
