Once safely back in America, Lindros persuades Bourne to help track the money trail of terrorists buying the nuclear material in Odessa. But once there, Bourne is hampered by confusing flashbacks, and he wonders: is someone brainwashing him in order to throw him off the trail? Worse, is the man he saved in Africa really Martin Lindros?

This was an excellent job, by both the author and narrator. Story was edge of your seat thriller that did not stop for a moment.
The story line kept you hanging on every word trying to guess what was coming next.
You will race through this audio book in record time, because you won't want to turn it off. The narrator made each character come to life. The author wrote a story that was not only belivable, but very full of suspense and action. Sound effects were great! Buy this one, you won't be disappointed. Unless you don't like action books.
Very good job, to all involved in this production.

Already cited on the floor of Congress and discussed in the corridors of the Pentagon as a book all Americans should read, One Second After is the story of a war scenario that could become all too terrifyingly real. Based upon a real weapon - the Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP) - which may already be in the hands of our enemies, it is a truly realistic look at the awesome power of a weapon that can destroy the entire United States.

This is an excellent book! I thought for about 2 minutes that it was going to bore me with details.
Well it didn't. It did leave me looking at the life we have in a whole different prospective.
I easily we can go from a great society using technology and electricity as tools to have a better life with comforts and infrastructure, to a horse and buggy, community based 17th century life.
This book will not only open your eyes to how fast things can change, but will make you ask the question of why have we as a country and government have not used these billions of tax dollars to do what needs to be done to harden our electrical infrastructure.
No matter what your political beliefs are, if you read this book, you'll want those answers.
Excellent read and narration. This one will not disappoint you.

I started with book one, it was great. Bought book 2 a couple of months later. Loved it, was an excellent continuation of the Saga. I waited about 6 months, then bought book 3. Not only was this an excellent follow up to 1 and 2, it was a very, very good book. It brought new character and tech to the story. It was full of action and realistic battles between forces. The author used the same narrator and that always makes a series much better. Mark Boyett does a great job and really brings the story to life. He makes you feel like you are in the space battle joining forces with the troops. I will not wait to buy book 4. I like this series and will look forward to reading all the books.

I really like this book, the story was always moving and did not bog down with details.
The character involvement was excellent. The interaction between all the character was realistic and believable.
I wouldn't say this was Robert Ludlum book, it does however keep the same Janson story line.
I would not say you should read the books before this one in order to understand this one. It was a great story of it's own. Although it did follow the other Janson books.
It was a good book and I really had a great time listening to it.

This book is a story with action, science, war history and good against evil. I thought the way a history of war was told with a fictional story was just perfect. I enjoyed this book and will definitely listen to it again, I never have listened to a book twice.
You will be drawn in by the stories characters and cheer them on, even when they do something that seems stupid and senseless. It is all woven into a great story with a super ending.
I bought the book because I think Dick Hill is the best narrator of all the books I have listened too. He didn't disappoint me. In fact, I am a huge Jack Reacher fan and that's one of his great characters. However, he did an incredible job with all the characters in this book. Women, Men, Nazis, Scottish. He ran the gamut of voices and accents.
I was super impressed by his range of voices and accents. What a great job Mr. Hill.
Buy the book and enjoy the story, you won't be disappointed.

The four dead guards didn’t concern Mitch Rapp as much as the absence of the man they’d been paid to protect. Joe Rickman wasn’t just another foot soldier. For the last eight years Rickman had ran the CIA’s clandestine operations in Afghanistan. It was a murky job that involved working with virtually every disreputable figure in the Islamic Republic. More than a quarter billion dollars in cash had passed through Rickman’s hands during his tenure as the master of black ops and no one with a shred of sense wanted to know the details of how that money had been spent.

This is a very good book. I loved the story and that's why I stayed with it and finished it.
The narration is perfect and could not of been better. You are brought into the story and the voices make you feel for each of the characters.
That said, the writing goes into to much detail. I'm sure it's just me, but to tell me that a face is wrinkled and dry is enough description, To tell me how each and every wrinkle looks and the extent of dryness is just a little to much.
I use that as an example so as to not spoil the great story, but if you buy this book, I'm sure you'll do like me and fast foward through alot of it. Everything is described is GREAT detail.
I know it's a novel and supposed to be a long book, but do it with the story not the description.
Like a said at the beginning, it is a very good story and if your able to deal with all the descriptive background you'll enjoy it very much.
Just a note, I finished the book by reading the last 3 chapters on a Kindle. Just couldn't deal with it any longer.
I do like novels, there are several very long ones in my library, but this one took a long, long time to get to the point.
