Danny cause he's so innocent yet so intutive.
Yet again, Danny.

This will make you an audible addict. My very first audible purchase and i was listening to everything. This audible is one of the very rare ones where they have multiple narrators, which really brought the characters alive in the book. I wish they did that for all the books. I really enjoyed hearing their thoughts and fears along with it switching between people throughout the chapters. After i heard the audible version, i went on Amazon to buy the DVD and i felt like i wasted 10 bucks on the DVD. Thats how good the this audible book is.
The book starts off with a maid named Aibileen telling her story about how shes been helping white people care for their babies. The story takes place around the 1960's and she overhears her current employer's friend talk about making a bathroom for the colored help to use so the white arent getting diseases from the black. Skeeter, one of the white women and is also one of her employer's friends doesnt seem to have the same beliefs. She wants to write a book and asks Aibileen to be in it. The Help is about the book, but also touches on the lives of Skeeter, Aibileen, Minnie, Ceilia, Hilly and Elizabeth. Hope you enjoy this book.
I wanted to see the movie, but i figured i should try out the book first before i get into the movie. The book is really about two messed up people, but you dont really find out why they are messed up til the ending. They really connect because they are kind of in the same type of living arrangement.... living with their parents, seeing shrinks and they have a lot of free time to hang around each other. In the end, its kind of like a messed up love story but they get together and the main character Pat finally sees Tiffany as she really is.
This one was going to be my favorite as I had a feeling Hope's ex was going to resurface. I disagree with some of the other reviewers about how Clare had her book and this should be dedicated to Hope. I love the way the old characters are still around and it definately added to the story in my opinion. I also love how we hear about Clare's pregnancy, Avery's moving in with Owen to get married and how Ryder and Hope's chemistry kind of started out in Avery's book. We also learn that Lizzy and Hope are related.... =P Anyways, great listen and I'll be looking for more NR books to listen to in the future.
So in book one, the next always, we met Clare and Avery. In the first book, Clare got her happily every after ending and now its time for Avery's, Still some continuing character development with the main characters, getting to know Lizzy the ghost a little more and really digging deep into Avery and Owen's character and possible love connection. Like book one, Mr. Andrews continues to narrate and its almost like its not another book, but another part 3 to the first book. Enjoy!
This book got me to downloading the entire series. I was never really into romance novels, but theres something about these characters, the writing of the book, the way the narrator told the story that made me into an audible addict. Yes, i agree with some that it was a slow start, but as i got into knowing the characters, i started listening to this on my commute to and from work as well as on my days off from work. MacLeod Andrews does a pretty good job changing up the voices and like all male narraters, he makes the females sound a little off, but hey you cant make all the different character voices perfect in an audio book. I am glad that they used the same narrater for the entire series.
As for the book, this is Clare's story and how she fell in love with Beckett. As for all series, you get introduced to everyone whos important in the series: Clare, her kids, Beckett, the Montgomery brothers, Justine, Hope and Avery. It also has a small side story line about a ghost and the Inn they are building. The ghost is kind of like a matchmaker cause shes the one who pushes the Montgomery brothers to think about the women in their lives. Anyway, its a nice listen while you are just laying back and relaxing. Hope you enjoy it like i did.
