Eve is at it again. Once again Roake is pulled into the investigation, because of his relationship with the woman that have been killed. Even though it is a little like the 1st book in that aspect, it is still different. With Susan as narrator this book just couldn't go wrong or be bad. She does an excellent job with the many different voices, especially Roakes. I would recommend this audio to anybody!! Would recommend also to read Naked in Death 1st. Just helps with understanding Eve's & Roake's relationship & their backgrounds.

This is book 6 in Feehans "The Carpathian" series. Here is a story of 1 of the 5 lost Carpathians (They're like Vampires, but not, because they don't kill the human they feed off & give in to the dark side. Only those that do, turn vampire & are hunted & killed, by our protectors the Carpathians). We also see two other of the lost come together. Darius is the leader of the group(the band Dark Troubadours) & brother of Desari, Gregory, & others in the next books to come. Tempest becomes the mechanic for the group & can also communicate with animals. This story has lots of action, suspense, & romance (not for the faint of heart). You will not be disappointed. Feehan has a way of drawing you in & before you know it the book has ended & you want more.
