Only minutes after Abbie Elliot and her three best friends step off of a private helicopter, they enter the most luxurious, sumptuous, sensually pampering hotel they have ever been to. Their lavish presidential suite overlooks Monte Carlo, and they surrender: to the sun and pool, to the sashimi and sake, to the Bruno Paillard champagne. In the morning's harsh light, Abbie awakens on a yacht, surrounded by police. Something awful has happened - something impossible, unthinkable. Abbie, Winnie, Serena, and Bryah are arrested and accused of the foulest crime imaginable.

Passionate, earthy, deeply affecting, The Red Tent combines rich storytelling with a valuable contribution to modern fiction: a vibrant new perspective of female life in the age that shaped present day civilization and values.

If you like The Red Tent, try The Harlot by the Side of the Road, a recounting of some of the most startling and explicit writings from The Old Testament.

Would you listen to The Red Tent again? Why?

No, I almost never listen to the same book twice.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

at the fathers passing when the mother/daughter bond came full circle.

    Any additional comments?

If you like history from a woman's point of view this is a GREAT book telling raw tales that only women share with each other.

There are a LOT of characters in this book and it does get confusing keeping track of everyone.

What did you love best about The Witness?

As parents we can sometimes be over protective and this story speaks to the harm we can do in the most extreme example. However our children can triumph beyond our errors and become people with amazing lives and talents. Stong woman are so enjoyable to read about.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes, Elizabeth possess a talent that very people in life do and to see how it was a curse and a tool kept me wondering what would happen next.

What about Julia Whelan’s performance did you like?

Her voice is very easy to listen

In her compelling, beautifully crafted novel, New York Times best-selling author Marie Bostwick celebrates friendships old and new - and the unlikely threads that sometimes lead us exactly where we need to go. Christmas is fast approaching, and New Bern, Connecticut, is about to receive the gift of a new pastor, hired sight unseen to fill in while Reverend Tucker is on sabbatical. Meanwhile, Margot Matthews’ friend, Abigail, is trying to matchmake, even though Margot has all but given up on romance.

Have you listened to any of Bahni Turpin and Xe Sands ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Dual readers made the story richer. Both brought warmth and humanity to Margot and Philipa.

If you could sum up Fifty Shades of Grey in three words, what would they be?

    Hot sexy control

What did you like best about this story?

Even though Christian is a dark troubled soul Anna's ability to hold her own and set her boundaries as she learned who she was and what she did and did not like was very powerful. If only all women could be that strong and ask for what they wanted and not be afraid to say no to what they don't like.

    Any additional comments?

Ann's expressive exploration made me smile. Then to hear all the catch phrases be used in pop culture let you know how many people were reading.
