Amanda Knox spent four years in a foreign prison for a crime she did not commit. In the fall of 2007, the 20-year-old college coed left Seattle to study abroad in Italy, but her life was shattered when her roommate was murdered in their apartment. After a controversial trial, Amanda was convicted and imprisoned. But in 2011, an appeals court overturned the decision and vacated the murder charge. Free at last, she returned home to the U.S., where she has remained silent, until now.

Amanda Knox is a courageous and incredible young woman. Her insights and eloquent ability to share with readers her very personal and painful struggles through this horrid tragedy has touched me deeply. I cried with her, I cried with her family and I ended this book wanting to salute and hug this young woman. The book, from start to finish captured my interest, ,

What made the experience of listening to You're Next the most enjoyable?

I was captivated from the start- This book was written in such a way as to have me intrigued and trying to guess from the start! But don`t waste energy trying , cause the whole suspense, reason will surprise you! And the narrator brought to life the emotions involved in this intricate book. It is worth choosing. Happy reading

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

More than once I stayed in the car not wanting to stop listening, in parking areas, near grocery stores, the garage at home, etc. More than once crying, or my heart beating fast wanting to know what will happen next...I was sorry when I finished this book- It was saying goodbye to a good friend, till NEXT time.

Manuel Perrine doesn't fear anyone or anything. A charismatic and ruthless leader, Perrine slaughters rivals as effortlessly as he wears his trademark white linen suit. Detective Michael Bennett once managed to put Perrine behind bars, the only official in the US ever to accomplish that. But now Perrine is out, and he has sworn to find and kill Bennett and everyone dear to him.

What did you love best about Gone?

Books from James Patterson continue to be fast paced readings due to the chapter arrangements, in my opinion. The story and its characters are described so well we can easily visualize `what they look like.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The most interesting parts were the story of the head drug dealers and the attempts to capture him- The least interesting had to do with some chaptersé paragraphs being used as fillers were too much time was spent on `boring`stuff. boring because there was minimal to nil need for these paragraphs and I sensed there existence served simply as space fillers.

What does Danny Mastrogiorgio and Henry Leyva bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

There voices are alive and they bring to the imagination of the listener an easy portrait of who `they`are` talking for.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

For the first half nope, but for the last part of the book absolutely.

    Any additional comments?

I have been a fan of James Patterson's novel from the moment I first read one of his books. Therefore it pains me to be critical in any way, but I feel a laziness has set itself into his books lately, almost as if he is bored with it. I hope the giant of thriller writings re-awakens.

After losing his leg to a land mine in Afghanistan, Cormoran Strike is barely scraping by as a private investigator. Then John Bristow walks through his door with an amazing story: his sister, the legendary supermodel Lula Landry, famously fell to her death a few months earlier. The police ruled it a suicide, but John refuses to believe that. The case plunges Strike into the world of multimillionaire beauties, rock-star boyfriends, and desperate designers, and it introduces him to every variety of pleasure, enticement, seduction, and delusion known to man.

This is a great book and one I strongly suggest to readers/audible listeners who enjoy mysteries/ detectives books. The words used are vivid and the reader is quickly 'hooked'. I hope to see many more books with these main characters, Strike and Robin. The narrator as well brought to life quickly and so vividly all the characters in the book. It was truly enjoyable and I look forward to reading more from this author.

Very early, 4:45, on a bitterly cold Minnesota morning, three big men burst through the door of a hospital pharmacy, duct-tape the hands, feet, mouth, and eyes of two pharmacy workers, and clean the place out. But then things swiftly go bad, one of the workers dies, and the robbers hustle out to their truck-and find themselves for just one second face-to-face with a blond woman in the garage: Weather Karkinnen, surgeon, wife of an investigator named Lucas Davenport.

When listening to a book, the narrator has a very important role: the number of characters Richard Ferrone brought to life is amazing.
    Excellent and easy entertainment!

There is no nice way to give this critique- I feel annoyed, frustrated at the hours I wasted - hours and hours of listening to a book seeming to have its own mental breakdown! Why? far too many convoluted plots, unbelievably complicated scenarios, making no sense-
Did an Editor truly read this book before sending to production! I must salute the performers for being able to 'read' the content. This author should have considered writing 3 entirely separate novels or wait, is it 4 or 5 novels? Yep- There are that many "plots"
