"Great until just before the very end"
This book grabbed my attention, and I couldn't stop listening. I would have given it 5 stars, except I found the ending to be very disappointing. 95% of the story, however, is wonderful.
"Compelling story"
I am normally annoyed by stories that constantly switch between past and present but this one did so seamlessly. Additionally, there are so many mysteries where you can see the ending coming from a mile away, but the twist in this one really surprised me and made this story stand out from the average mystery.
"Better than average historical fiction"
Overall, I was impressed with this story. There were a few times where my attention started to drift, but for the most part, I found the story compelling and the narration easy to listen to.
"Just okay"
The content of this book is fairly unoriginal - concerns about weight, stories about not fitting in as a child, some stories about writing for The Office and Saturday Night Live. In terms of content and performance, Tine Fey's Bossypants is much more interesting. Yet Mindy is funny and she does a nice job of reading the book. If you think she is funny, you will probably enjoy listening to this book, but won't be blown away by it.
