What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

if it were one or two books....3 was way to many

What could Iris Johansen have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

talked less about how the world revolved around eve and how wonderful she was....sickly sweet.....

What aspect of Elisabeth Rodgers’s performance would you have changed?

    she doesn't do accents well.......

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

I love the main characters in this book and I am a believer in things to do with people having extra skills but come on....that many people in one book and Seth Calebs abilities..little over the top...

    Any additional comments?

I felt cheated that I had to read and pay for three books to get this story. I am a creature of habit and when I start something I have to finish it...but I will be on the lookout next time as to not have to listen to so much to get a story....

Why we think it’s a great listen: If you’ve ever loved a dog - or even patted a dog - this book, told from the perspective of man’s best friend, will tug at your heartstrings...and won’t let go until long after Welch performs the last word. Enzo knows he is different from other dogs: a philosopher with a nearly human soul (and an obsession with opposable thumbs), he has educated himself by watching television extensively and by listening very closely to the words of his master.

What did you love best about The Art of Racing in the Rain?

I love the fact it was told from the perspective of the dog very refreshing

    Any additional comments?

This book was a very refreshing book to listen to. A story of a family that was not sugar coated but the way it was, told by the dog was truly wonderful. I loved the humor, the telling of tragedy and the final happily ever after. I can truly relate to Enzo in teh end. I have a 17 year old Red Heeler that is showing some of the signs...It makes me wonder what she feels at this point in her life.... I would recommend this book to everyone.
