At least it is short. Each sentence is read with an exclamation mark. I didn't find this amusing.
I was invested in all of the characters.
Each part, large and small brought something essential to the story, can't pick.
It was difficult to stop listening, but sleep and work have priority.
There were tears, I wanted to know how Jessie ended up.
Lots of twists
Gone girl, because the girls were gone :)
It is illegal to drive and read.
It was predictable, the ending was too abrupt and unfinished.
The ending, no surprise, but not complete.
wish i had read more reviews...listened until the end..but disappointed. Really enjoyed "The Story Teller" which also had a predictable ending, but was much more satisfying.
First and Third books were best of the series
It was fine
It made me cry, but it wasn't defeating.
An excellent series, too bad he has died.
No, don't do that
I saw the end coming, but the writing was excellent, and I needed to see it play out.
I laughed, I cried, a book with hope for all.
Great characters, enveloping
Like the Stephen King book I just finished, I was compelled to stick in m earbuds driving shopping, cleaning...It was an engaging book.
Yes the other books in the series, good performance.
The power of us
I read the 3 books in the series and was disappointed to see the author had passed. I would have liked to keep readying.
I had to continue reading it, the story pulled me in.
The newspaper woman
Excellent differentiation of voices
Yes, but waaaaaaaaay to long
I didn't like that the main character was a fry cook, and that the dog talked to ghosts. Seemed to take from "Odd Thomas, " a series I enjoy. Also the homage to Lee Child, mentioning the Jack Reacher character took me out of the story.
Perhaps, and I rarely relisten - there is so much about economics I don't know.
New to me
No, but did want to finish it
I thought it was a good book for people like me who want to know a little about econ :)
No, I rarely listen to/read books a second time, usually by accident!
I liked this better than the 11/23/63 Stephen King book, which I also really enjoyed. I had been turned off Stephen King for a decade or so, but I really liked these books.
Dev, the joy conveyed from of interacting with the children, was very touching
I hope HBO has some good writers linedup to finish this series. It started out great, I was looking at the web periodically to find out when George was going to finish the series, and he served up a pile of nothing, traveling from place to place with nothing resolved. I can't believe the great reviews people are giving.
Not break the plot lines into two books, actually tie up some of the plots, or at least move them foreward.
This made me angry and disappointed.
I hope HBO can kick start him into writing something, or someone else should take over the franchise which he so ably started.
