"Laugh outloud funny..."
I think the other people reviewing this book are missing the point. George Carlin is known for his fowl-mouthed inane humor and he certainly delivers in this book. The fact that he is the narrator just adds to the humor.
Not for the easily offended or persistently PC crowd.
C'mon everybody - lighten up!
"Strictly for teens or those wishing they were"
I read this book thinking that it was written for an adult audience. I was greatly disappointed. I find no faults with the storyline or execution, but don't buy this thinking it is going to be intellectual in any way shape or form.
Excellent read for those that think reminiscently of their teen years. Evocative of Judy Blume and other such writers that aim at the 'tween years.
"Why did I wait so long to 'read' this one?"
I have never read this book and thought I would take a chance on the audio version. I am glad that I did. Winona Ryder did an exquisite job at bringing Anne's diary to life for me. Highly recommended - even if you've already read the book version.
