Of the first three, this one struck me as the funniest one yet. Several times I had to stop driving and pull over because I was laughting too hard to drive. It may not strike everyone the same way, but it hit my sense of humor.
Not exactly sure why, but Christopher Moore's LAMB or FOOL are my comparison. Very off beat sense of humor.
The political canditates in the RAW wrestling match and the rich bastard who becomes a professional sports team owner.
Laughed hard, Dorsey has taken everyday events and showed how funny they are. And of course, there's Serge, the insane genious killer and his nonstop trivia of everything Florida.
Not necessary, but adds continuity to start the "Serge A Storms" series of books in the order they were written, This is # 3
2nd of the series. Better than the 1st. More humor, characters are more familiar. Still took 8 discs, when 6 would have been enough, (I like my audiobooks to move at a reasonable pace so I don't fall asleep driving). Looking forward to the 3rd book.
Some humor, some wit, some mystery, no sex, just innuendo.. A little long in parts. Sufficiently good to want to listen to the next one in the series.
Enjoyable stories from a safari guide, lots of animal stories and descriptions. Not really humorous and nothing outstanding. An easy listen.
Serge trying to find a middle ground between the Tea Partiers' and the Occupiers, you can guess how well that works. Johnny Vegas, the Accidental Virgin has a couple of appearances, and Serge wiping out an organized group of criminal scamers in his own special way. If you are a fan of Dorsey, what more could you ask for.
What a unique book about an off beat and somewhat taboo topic. I love the author's dry humor and the very good delivery and narration. Everything and more, about the human body when it stops working and the way bodies are used in science, medicine, and research. I will be trying more books by this author.
#3 of the series, more please in audiobook format with the same narrator. I don't care if they are short, as long as there are more. I find these perfect for a short listen, enjoyable, fun, and humorous. I think there are 10 of these in the series (on the author's web site), so I hope audible produces more or all of them soon.
Enjoyable, fun, stories. Good dialog from Brianna and her interactions with the "others".
I like the reader also. On to the next one in the series.
Basically, it didn't work as an audiobook with this narrator. I could not distinguish between Chet"s (the dog) voice and Bernie's voice (the human). The story was just "ok", and the humor was sometimes there, with the dog behaviors and thoughts. Maybe I will try another if they go on sale.
Halfway thru, not sure I'll finish. Life's too short to listed to mediocre audiobooks.
I had high expectations from Janet Evanovich for something light with some laughs, this isn't it. It's light, but no laughs. Also, in my opinion, not the best reader for this material.
Conclusion of this series. Got to listen to it if you've listed to the others in the series. This was a very captivating series, a great mix of supernatural and believability. Still not my favorite reader because she sounds too old for the age of Harper Connelly, but I adapted.
