The faerie Magpie Windwitch, granddaughter of the West Wind, flies over the ocean with her small flock of crows. Ill-advised sailors all too often open bottles floating near their ships, and Magpie has vowed to recapture the devils released upon the world from their sea-borne containers. But there is one bottle in which a great menace was trapped by the ancient Djinn King, and when this bottle is opened, the evil of the Blackbringer threatens to engulf the world.

Would you listen to Faeries of Dreamdark again? Why?

Definitely. The story is meant for a younger audience but it was wonderful to listen to.

What did you like best about this story?

The characters and their personalities. They all had their quirks and the narrator did a wonderful job at bringing that out.

What about Davina Porter’s performance did you like?

    Everything!

Would you listen to Bloodfever again? Why?

No, I really really disliked how the narrator portrayed the male characters voices. Jericho Barrons is supposed to be this hot, strong, masculine man every woman fantasizes about...the fantasy died with Joyce Beans version of his voice. I'm still pushing forward because Phil Gigante is in the last two books.

Who was your favorite character and why?

So far Jericho Barrons, he's mysterious, strong, smart...what's not to love about him?

How could the performance have been better?

OMG It could have been a million times better with Phil Gigante doing the mail voices. I would purchase this audio book and listen all over again if Phil Gigante narrated the mens voices.

    Any additional comments?

I started out listening to ICED and fell in love with Natale Ross and Phil Gigante. This narrator was a disappointment but knowing Natalie and Phil are narrating in the last couple and hopefully all future, books, I'm willing to listen to the story.

On the holiday of Wintertide, the New Empire plans to burn the Witch of Melengar and force the Empress into a marriage of their own design. But they didn’t account for Royce and Hadrian finally locating the Heir of Novron—or the pair’s desire to wreak havoc on the New Empire’s carefully crafted scheme.

If you could sum up Heir of Novron in three words, what would they be?

    Clever, fun, enjoyable.

What does Tim Gerard Reynolds bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The personalities he attached to the characters was great. I loved listening to this mans voice.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, I couldn't wait to work out or drive long distance so I can get my listen in.

    Any additional comments?

This was a great ending to the series. The end was a surprise to me there is part that just brought tears to my eyes and I wish it could have been different. And I wish there was just a little bit more in the end...a sort of "10 years later" kind of thing. You see all the characters in their final evolution in these books and you see the strength in the friendships and bonds. In general the book, even though it is fantasy, gives a great message about friendship and society. This series is on my top ten favorite books and the author is on my top 3.

Best-selling author Michael J. Sullivan’s mesmerizing Riyria Revelations series has found a welcome home with fans of magic, clashing swords, and daring heroes. This second volume finds Royce and Hadrian on a quest to enlist the southern Nationalists to aid the ever-weakening kingdom of Melengar. Royce suspects an ancient wizard is manipulating them all, but to find the truth he’ll have to decipher Hadrian’s past—a past Hadrian wants to keep secret.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, I think the narator did an excellent job of playing all the characters, the story is interesting and the characters in general kept the story alive.

What other book might you compare Rise of Empire to and why?

Maybe to the golden compass, because of the threat of a power hungry, self righteous "authority" who wants to dominate the world.

    Which scene was your favorite?

Morbidly, I liked the scene when Haydrian and Royce reach the princess after they find out they were tricked. How Haydrian comforts the princess. You begin to realize that something is there even though they themselves are not aware of it yet.

    Any additional comments?

The series in general is great. I've read some negative comments about the characters but in this set you start to understand them much more. You see them change, evolve and grow into real heroes...something they were not expecting of themselves.

Would you consider the audio edition of Theft of Swords to be better than the print version?

I haven't read the book but the audio was wonderful.

What other book might you compare Theft of Swords to and why?

It doesn't really compare to any other book I've read yet. This is a great adventure story which made me giggle, warmed my heart and at the same time made me root for professional thieves, of all things :)

What does Tim Gerard Reynolds bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I loved the different voices and how he brought forth the characters sense of humor. He did a brilliant job.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Most definitely yes!

    Any additional comments?

I loved how the author focused on the adventure and even though every character was real and human in their own way he didn't write this book like others taking place in similar "times". There are many authors who, with the understood attempt of making their characters "realistic" to the period or situation, write hard moments and make many characters, especially men, into pigs. I like that this book is very "grown up" but it was tasteful when it came to "adult" situations. Can't wait to listen to the others!

What did you love best about Iced?

The snarky remarks. Sometimes the characters down right made me laugh out loud.

What does Phil Gigante and Natalie Ross bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Their voices and interpretations of the each characters personalities. I LOVED the narrators, they did an awesome job!

    Any additional comments?

At first, you'll want to give up on this story. You'll question the author writing about a 14 yr old, hold on and keep listening. It makes sense and you'll not regret it!

To be irrevocably in love with a vampire is both fantasy and nightmare, woven into a dangerously heightened reality for Bella Swan. Pulled in one direction by her intense passion for Edward Cullen, and in another by her profound connection to werewolf Jacob Black, she has endured a tumultuous year of temptation, loss, and strife to reach the ultimate turning point.

About three things I was certain. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was a part of him, and I didn't know how dominant that part might be, that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.

Would you listen to Twilight again? Why?

Yes. It brought back memories of high school drama and love. Although, I try to understand that the author is trying to convey an eternal love story, it seems more like infatuation which borders on obsession. It's a decent story none the less.

Which character – as performed by Ilyana Kadushin – was your favorite?

The narrator did a wonderful job with all the characters.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, it did not catch my attention that much to want to listen to the whole thing at once. I did look forward to listening to it on my drive to and from work and when I worked out but I've listened to books which have had me listening into the late hours of the night. Although this book didn't do that for me, I am planning on listening to the entire series. The quirkiness of some of the characters brings a smile to my face. They seem more real because of that.
