I really enjoy a good 'Mystery/Thriller' but the narrator can cause me, at times, to not listen to what might have been a really good story.

This was an absolutely awesome book. I LOVED everything about it and I was so sorry when it ended. In my opinion this is a classic that rates up among the very top. Do not miss out on this one. I rarely write any kind of review but this book definitely rates one. A++++++ all the way.

Travel along with Mia Kensington through this riveting mystery thriller. Based in an institution for the mentally incurable and the criminally insane, the twists and turns in this novel will keep you guessing.

I took a chance on this one and really wished I hadn't. It started off well but the further I got into this book the more I disliked it. Supernatural beings etc., are ok but this was totally off the wall! I did not like this book at all.

A plume of radiation above New York City leads to a warehouse where, it seems, a powerful nuclear bomb was assembled just hours before. Sifting through the evidence, authorities determine that the unthinkable is about to happen: in ten days, a major American city will be vaporized by a terrorist attack.

I am a big fan of Preston and Child. But not this book. Very boring, predictable and way too long for the story they are telling. I will not bother with another "Gideon" story. Save your credit.

I am determined to finish this, only because I wasted a whole credit on it. I usually enjoy Dean Koontz, but this book is abysmal! It is not suspenseful, exciting or anything else. Just a 'bunch' of supposedly scary 'things' thrown together in a supposedly scary situation. Do not waste your credit on this book. One of his worst!!

Determined to find out what happened to her former deputy chief, Jack Fielding, murdered six months earlier, Kay Scarpetta travels to the Georgia Prison for Women, where an inmate has information not only on Fielding, but also on a string of grisly killings. The murder of an Atlanta family years ago, a young woman on death row, and the inexplicable deaths of homeless people as far away as California seem unrelated. But Scarpetta discovers connections that compel her to conclude that what she thought ended with Fielding's death and an attempt on her own life is only the beginning....

Celebrated crime master and two-time Edgar Award winner James Lee Burke returns with a gorgeously crafted, brutally resonant chronicle of violence along the Texas-Mexico border. It was a miracle of science that permitted human beings to live, if not forever then for a long, long time. Some people, anyway. The rich, the powerful, they lived their lives at the rate of one year every 10. Some created two societies: that of people who lived out their normal span and died, and those who slept away the decades, skipping over the intervening years and events. It allowed great plans to be put into motion. It allowed interstellar empires to be built.

Oslo in November. The first snow of the season has fallen. A boy named Jonas wakes in the night to find his mother gone. Out his window, in the cold moonlight, he sees the snowman that inexplicably appeared in the yard earlier in the day. Around its neck is his mother’s pink scarf. Hole suspects a link between a menacing letter he’s received and the disappearance of Jonas’s mother - and of perhaps a dozen other women, all of whom went missing on the day of a first snowfall. As his investigation deepens, something else emerges: he is becoming a pawn....

I really don't know if the story itself was any good because I could not get past the narrator. Boring doesn't even cover it. Monotonous, sleep inducing naration killed this novel for me.
